as the bad guy/antagonist, and not as a living power battery/new-and-
most-powerful team member/love interest? >>

Wow, that sounds like a good idea. I don't think I have ever written a fic
before where there is a bad guy to root for......waitaminute. I think I wrote
one before....it was some fic about Happousei accidentally destorying a homeless
girls cardboard box home and takes her in under his wing and soon becomes
attached to her. But then again, that's not a SI :(

You know, I'm wondering about this too...but I've got a few more questions to
ask:
	1. Has anybody cast themselves as the person that's stuck between two
groups? (And, of course, always in the worst way possible...like, in fights,
being caught by the majority of the blasts...)

I remember reading a fic where the main character of the fic had a familyname of
Hentaii that seemed to get in a bit of trouble with the Ranma cast. I dunno if
you can consider it a SI though :)

	2. Has anyone killed themselves in an SI?

Well, there was a fic series I'm currently working on that isn't necessarily a
SI, but more like a 'gratuitious character insert fic' where the lead character
kills himself. Although it isn't a SI, it might a well be ;)

Anyway, if interested, it's my 'Just won't die' series :)

Please, gimmie a URL or other possible lead towards a copy.

The URLs in my sig.

Hmmm.. ah, yes! The arguements over SI -- no wait! Wrong message. Hmmm... most people really do tend to put themselves as good guys on SI fics. Some, like TimeRunner did it in a strikingly funny way. One of the Zu... forgot his name... no wait... NomaD... yeah him!! He did it in a rather unusual way. A partial SI but one nonetheless.
Still, another one would be my own. Well... I _STILL_ consider it not an SI in the sense of the word. Of course, it's up to you guys who to believe considering just how hung up I am over my name. Best thing I can say in my defense would be I like it a damn whole lot.
Besides, it's kinda catchy, ne?? ^_^
Anyway, Angel's Chronicles may be considered a somewhat partial SI. A really partial one. [PS: That's me talking. Others may have their own ideas about it] Still, if I were to be asked, my character, Radler, is what people call characters of convinience. It's easier that way. Powerful, yes. But still, not the main character in the story. Well, almost anyway.
If any of the new ones on the list would like to find out just what I'm talking about, go visist the NFTZu webpage. Addie's on my sig. ^_^
Of course, people type-casting themselves as antagonists never really came up all that much. There are some but I can't remember it. Most of the time, most SI authors have put themselves into so much mess that they tend to hurt themsevles in one way or another.
Then there's Twister.... or even good old Bert with his SkyKnight persona..
Both of them are pretty much the famous Si authors around..
There are quite a bit more than those two, but people won't argue the fact that they are pretty much the ones on the top of the list.

[End Plug] ^_^

BTW: I am still doing my fics. Just not as much as I'd care to right now. Still, with my life going slightly askew and then some... well... you people figure it out. For those who are waiting for my stuff, let's just say I'm going on the same path as some people. Yeah... revising and stuff...
	Go figure..
