Ahem.I can see why your friend suggested burning it, though I'm not sure I
agree.  What I would say to anyone who did decide to pick up this idea is to
think it through carefuly.  A big part of Ficdom is charecterization, but the
girls mentioned here are from the 70's, and the charecterization given them is
typical of mainstream TV from those days...  fairly flat and unimaginative.
But to change their personalities means its no longer truly a crossover, but
added charecters who just happen to have 3 very familiar names.  And the fact
that you said they first met 10 years ago...  given what I recall of the
series, that would make Marsha and Jan approximatly 28-24, or a touch old to
be living at home, especially since there is no need for the eldest to take
over for the deceased Ms. Tendo.

Which does bring up an interesting point, one that WOULD make an interesting
bit of Ficdom if you thought it all through.  If Soun HAD remarried, how WOULD
that have changed the girls?  To wit, using this example, if Soun had married
the lady in question here, I doubt Akane would be as violent.  But Kasumi
might be the biggest bit of difference, since she would not be required to
fill in for her mother anymore after the marriage.
