You could have a lot of 'fun' (sic) with how/when/if his disability is
revealed - either by him missing something totally obvious (Perhaps to
do with colour?), or continuing to behave normally in very poor light
conditions.

That ki-sense-radar-thing should also make disguises almost impossible
- and would be a prime way to reveal the secret.

And of course the whole 'uncute' thing becomes irrelevant, unless it's
taken in new directions...
