Not True, Erik... SHE DOES ALLOW fanfiction, BUT you do need to to get her
permission FIRST. (As how you do that... I AM not sure.) She WILL sue if you
do not get permission before "widespread" posting.  Check her newsgroup and
ask how do you go about getting permission, OR email Baen books and see if
they can tell you (Reason why... I found out about the requirment of asking
her permission via David Weber... who's using her Form even...) She is
verrry reasonable... as long as you ASK. (The Ones who do NOT allow
fanfiction period... David Eddings (sorry.), Hubbards' Estate, And a few
others... Lackey, Mccarthy, Weber, Helelins' estate, Zeleany's estate, and a
few others, will allow fanfiction. Lackey is pubished by Baen books and one
other {That's the real reason WHY I suggested Baen Books.})

Now, I'm trying to think what to replace it with.  I have two ideas:
  (1)  a crossover with _Discworld_ in which my character and Ranma
visit Granny Weatherwax OR

May not NEED to replace. Ask Mrs. Lackey.

  (2)  a crossover with _The Elenium_ in which my character and Ranma
visit Sephrenia.

No Can do. Eddings doesn't allow fanfiction (I Asked.)

Does anyone know how Terry Pratchett and/or David Eddings feel about
fanfiction?  I've seen multiple fanfics that allude to _Discworld_ and
I've seen a crossover with Eddings' _Belgariad_.

The reason WHY Eddings doesn't like fanfiction, is the fact that Both series
are "Closed" and he is planning to write "History" Books for the two
universers... sooo... He might allow crossovers, though... (I wanted to
write a History of Silk BEFORE Pawn... but he said that he would be doing
that...) So the BEST bet is email the pubishers of the writer and Ask them
how to get in contact with the said writers and ask them.
But to repeat the main point of this comment... Lackey DOES allow
fanfiction, you have to ask though... She'll sue if a. you don't ask AND
make any money off of it. (even if it isn't a profit.)
