Hello all, and sorry for bothering you like this.

I'm looking for information that will help me understand the proper use of Japanese titles of respect/familiarity.  There are plenty of places where titles should be used, but I don't know for sure where to use them and where not to.  The following are the ones I see used on a fairly regular basis:

-chan
-kun
-san
-sensei

The only one I've ever had occasion to use was the last, when talking to/about my sensei (DOH!) in karate class.  I was not aware that it could apply in other situations until I started reading fanfics.

I would appreciate any and all help on this matter.  Of course, if there are any more titles I should know about or that you can suggest, I'd be more than happy to recieve info on them.
