Man, you leave the list alone for two days, you miss ALL the good stuff. Let's
see if it's not too late to put my bit in.....

Of all the anime series that have had fanfic written about them, I think
that maybe the lead characters are killed in BGC fics at a much higher
per-fic frequency than any other series.

Actually, I beg to differ. I'm pretty sure Eva fics have a higher death toll.
However, considering how the actual series itself ends, that's not so hard to
do.

Plus, the KS have this disconcerting tendency to be killed off solely for the
plot device of being resurected in cyborg form.....

I'll put it this way.

I really hate predictable endings.

We know. A bunch of us are still upset over the whole 'RYOUGA LOST, YOU JERK!'
thing.....

Everyone was expecting Mr. Freeze to be taken down
and Genom to get the righteous punishment it deserved
in 'Frozen Knights'.

Didn't happen.

Actually, that WAS fairly predictable..... Genom NEVER gets the righteous
punishment it deserves, and Victor Fries ALWAYS ends up being exiled to an icy
wasteland.

Another thing to consider: I still have one last BGC story
arc to work on, the bit with Ra's Al Ghul. So I need
_someone_ alive for that ;)

Would this be the Ra's Al Ghul story that your web page still claims is coming
out in the Summer of '98? ^_^

Might be time to clean house on your FK pages there, Rod.

HTG (who always wondered what Gotham would be like if Arkham had a
sucess ratio worth the name)

With a name like Arkham, it does have a success ratio worthy of its name.
I wouldn't send someone to a place named 'Arkham' if I wanted them to
regain their sanity. If I wanted them to go NUTS, yes. Become sane, no.

Awright, that's it...... i'm sick and tired of all the misconstruings about
the fine name of Arkham that are constantly being made by those who've watched
too much Batman or read H.P Lovecraft, and will use this oppurtunity to set
the record straight.

First of all, if any of you would actually go to the trouble of VISITING
Arkham, Massachusettes, you'd fine that it's the nicest damn town you've ever
been to. I have family in the area, and when we went through last summer
touring Universities, we found it to be extremely fine. Not only that, but
Miskatonic U, aside from having a cool-ass name, is a quiet, refined seat of
learning, AND, contrary to popular beief, it's library does NOT have a copy of
the Necronomicon. So for everybody who's ever read "The Dunwich Horror," or
"The Whisperers in the Dark," and is convinced that backcountry New England is
a veritable gamut of the macabre, you don't know jack. Sure, some weird stuff
comes out of there, but no weirder than anything that comes out of, say,
Worcester.

As for the Elizabeth Arkham Home for the Criminally Insane...... Arkham Asylum
is
just that, a home for the CRIMINALLY insane. It's not your normal, tranquil
type of asylum where people who have nervous breakdowns or people who think
they're trees go to recover..... it's a place where your real crazies are
locked away, because if they were put in normal prisons they'd eat the other
criminals. These people are generally psychopaths, and a psychopath is almost
impossible to cure; they don't respond well to therapy. So Arkham actually
does fairly well for itself, considering the materiel they have to work with.

<phew> Of course, that's just my opinion.... I could be wrong.

Not bloody likely, though.....
