not to base their characters too heavily on the stereotypes created here on
the FFML (unless that's your objective, of course), because it leads to
mediocre fanfics that rehash and recycle the same, boring, old and tired
jokes.

I think it deserves pointing out that the manga is full of
malleting. It seemed especially common in the later volumes.


It isn't nearly as common in the anime, probably because,
believe it or not, the anime is more serious than the manga.
The manga got pretty damn silly at times.
