Ranma Saotome in
Everything Goes Martial Arts:
Time Enough For Lust chapter 2:
a lemon
"Man, next time Mom wants me to get somethin for her, I'll
bring a truck."
Ranma labored under the weight of a great many bags of
groceries that he had just purchased. It wouldn't be so bad if it
wasn't for the rainshower that hit him on the way to town.
<"Ranma, would you please go to town and pick up a
couple things for me?"
"Sure Mom, no prob."
"Here," she said, handing him a wad of money and
a list as long as his arm.>
"That'll teach me." Ranma just shook his head.
"The house has got to be around here somewhere." He said as a
tingle ran up his spine, causing gooseflesh to erupt all over his
female body.
"Somethin ain't right here." he looked around for a bit, but
saw no sign of a distressed soul.
Then he heard it. It was soft, as if it travelled a good
distance, or was quietly said. A simple "No" was said, the trees
distorting the sound to almost nothing. Yet it was enough for
Ranma to make a decision.
His burden momentarily forgotten, he quietly made his way
through the forest. He was not heard, but used by no means a slow
gait. Sometimes being a girl was an advantage.
He saw a shallow light ahead of him, and paused behind a tree.
He listened for the voice again, but didn't hear any words. There
was some faint wet sounds, the occasional dull thud, and a
muffled whimper.
(*There shouldn't be anybody here! It's just Mom and me. Maybe
it's a bunch of guys livin here in the year since Mom's been
here. Naw, I would have run across'em. Whatever's happenin,
somebody don't like. I guess I'm gonna have to stop it.*)
Steadying himself, he looked out into the light.
