And the Terrans without reliable flame-throwers or laser or nuclear
technology.

But we DO have flamers and nukes. We can bombard them with napalm and our
nukes don't need ghosts to guide them.

Yeah, us weakling Terrans have much more firepower than we're given credit
for.

Oh, and Ranma's little blast to the probe damaged it so it won't be
calling
in any more >Protoss structures

That, and/or, as I said earlier, the shields used by the Protoss are
designed to stand up to heavy weaponry - be that weaponry of the projectile
or >directed-energy or whatever other type - and can surely laugh off chi
blasts, which definitely don't compare to, say, the CPBs on the A3 variant
of >the USCM's M577 APC...

The shields that the Protoss use are not that powerful. Ex -- a zergling is
able to batter down the shields of any unit that isnt returning fire, and in
one of the cinematics some Terrans killed a zergling by running over it with
a truck. Also, note that the zergling uses a pure physical attack, which is
weaker than Ranma and Co's better arsenal of chi attacks. Back to the truck
thing...

Ranma's chi blasts can be far more powerful than a mere truck's ramming
ability, which leads me to believe that he could indeed tear down some
pretty heavy shielding. Now, when you get to carriers and the like it would
just take a while -- Assuming he could keep the firepower on the target
without wearing himself out.

Just my two cents.
