Ok, I'm reposting chapters 1 & 2. Chapter 4 is mostly done and 5 is
completed. I hope to post them tomorrow.

Umm... don't flame me for this chapter. Please?

                            Chapter 3 of 5:
                              On a Wing...

                               **********

He crawled through the sewers, searching. Exactly what he was
searching for had been forgotten some time ago. As a matter of fact, he
had forgotten a large number of things. But they were unimportant. He
would know when he found what he was looking for and then all would be
well.

His right hand fell on something hard. Lifting it out of the muck,
he was able to identify it as an old turtle shell. Gears turned and
something clicked. Somewhere else, that is. In the person's head, a
random neuron fired and his thoughts went in new directions.

"Revenge," he spat out in his high-pitched voice. With a newly
kindled fire in his eyes, he began to crawl more vigorously.

                                 *****

Sasami sat and watched the other girls dig into their ice cream. The
four magical girls had detransformed from their 'Sailor' identities and
had agreed to go somewhere and introduce themselves. Sasami glanced out
the window of the ice-cream parlor and saw the small park that they had
terrorized earlier. She shivered slightly as she thought of how she had
been acting since using the transformation pen given to her by Shiiko.

Said girl was currently singing the Sailor Moon theme around
mouthfuls of sherbet.

Azusa was naming each of her sprinkles; the desert itself was in no
danger of being eaten.

Chibi-Usa was presenting an argument as to why she should be the
group's leader since she had the most experience.

Skuld was devouring her banana split at an astonishing speed while
mumbling about energy reserves.

Nobody was paying attention to any of them. In fact, the other
patrons of the shop were giving their booth a wide berth.

"Are you going to eat that?"

Sasami blinked at Skuld. Looking down at her untouched ice cream,
Sasami shook her head. She pushed the dish toward Skuld, who began
consuming it with the same intensity that she had shown while eating the
banana split.

Sasami sighed. She couldn't believe that she had joined up with this
strange group of girls. Her sister would never approve.

                                 *****

The General Nippon model 42 advanced tactical fighter. One of the
most advanced war machines ever constructed.

General Biter looked upon the rows of gleaming wings and dark
canopies and smiled with pride.

                                 *****

The manhole cover lifted, several sets of purple fingers grabbed the
edges and moved it to the side, and a form arose from the darkness.

"I will have my revenge on the turtles or my name isn't... isn't...
Shredder! No, Krang! No, that's not right. Bzzz..."

One of his arms stretched upward and a hand scratched at his head.
Damp wings vibrated briefly.

"April O'Neil!" the creature crowed. And the mad scientist formerly
known as Baxter Stockman set off.

                                 *****

Five cute girls walked out of an ice cream shop, chatting amiably
with each other.

Skuld detached herself from the group and began walking a few paces
behind the others. Pulling out the transformation wand she had been
given and her tricorder, she tried to find out why the girls acted so
differently as magical girls.

She knew that normally a henshin stick only changed the person's
clothing, created a glamour, and acted as a focus for the person's
untapped magical potential.

But the spells on this particular wand were far more complex than
they should have been, even considering the fact that they were formed
by a goddess. It would take her days to figure them out completely and
she didn't want to be stuck on earth for that long.

"There's something I'm missing, but what is it?" Skuld asked herself.

                                 *****

The Society of Bedbugs (SOB) was in agreement. A last-ditch effort
would be made to turn the war around.

General Biter entered the warroom, where his pilots were gathered.

"Men, today we embark on our most perilous mission."

Biter used his light pen to point out various parts of the gigantic
map that covered one of the walls.

"We have identified the humans' refueling stations. Once these are
destroyed, their defenses will collapse and nothing will be able to stop
us from seizing our place in history!"

The bedbug pilots let out a massive cheer as the General strode off
toward the hangar.

                                 *****

The door to the ice cream shop was ripped off its hinges and a
monster stepped through.

The patrons stared at the half-fly, half-human for a few seconds and
then ran screaming through the walls of the establishment, creating
dozens of people-shaped holes.

"I am April O'Neil! Bzzz... and you will give me all your money!
No! All your sugar! Wait! All your sugar, then all your money!"

The blond-haired boy standing behind the counter stared at the
self-proclaim April O'Neil. He hadn't been trained for this situation.
"Uh... all we have is, like, ice cream."

His answer seemed to please the mutant. It began grabbing canisters
of ice cream and pouring the contents down its throat. There was only
one problem that was still bothering him.

"Are you going to, like, pay for that?"

                                 *****

Suddenly, the girls heard a loud pop and a fuzzy, white creature
landed on top of Chibi-Usa.

Sasami studied the creature. Whatever it was, it certainly wasn't a
cabbit. Far too fat and round, though it did have some rabbit-like
qualities.

"Kawaii," Azusa breathed as she gazed at it.

Shiiko tapped her chin thoughtfully as she looked at it.

   Skuld only raised an eyebrow.

The white bunny-thing hopped off of Chibi-Usa, blinked at the girls,
and said, "Puu?"

Chibi-Usa sat up and echoed, "Puu?"

The creature turned and faced Chibi-Usa and said, "Puu."

Chibi-Usa crouched and looked the rabbit-like animal in the eye.
"Puu."

"Puu! Puu!" Mokona exclaimed as it bounced up and down.

"Puu! Puu!" Chibi-Usa called out, standing up and looking skyward.

"Make them stop. Make them stop," Skuld whimpered as she banged her
head against a nearby lamppost.

"Can't... think... of cute enough... name." Azusa sat down and began
crying geysers of tears. "It's too cute!"

Shiiko continued to tap her chin, her expression unchanged.

Sasami was glad that one of them seemed to be able to communicate
with the creature. And at least they weren't meowing to each other.

                                 *****

The GN-42AT fighters gathered into formation with the General's plane
in the lead.

The specialized hardware carried by the fighters allowed the bedbug
forces to synchronize their efforts to a previously unimaginable degree.
General Biter fed the coordinates of their first target into the system
and activated their attack plan.

Simultaneously, the jets banked and accelerated toward their
destination.

                                 *****

The ice cream parlor was a disaster area. Dripping canisters of
melted ice cream lay scattered on the floor. The man-fly had gone
through all 314 flavors and then stolen the money out of the cash
register.

The only positive note, in the opinion of the young man still
standing behind the counter, was that the monster had agreed to pay for
the ice cream it had eaten. But he wasn't sure that the money would
cover the windows through which the mutant had flown out.

"Aw, dude. Like, what am I going to tell my manager?" the blond
wondered as he looked at the mess.

                                 *****

The van zipped along the highway, staying just above the posted
speed limit.

"When we get back home, do you want me to fix you... _dinner_?"
Ryouko asked suggestively as she pressed against Tenchi's side.

Aeka, sitting on his other side, immediately answered, "Lord Tenchi
wants no such thing!"

"Well who asked you, _princess_!?" Ryouko retorted.

Tenchi waved his hands in an attempt to get their attention. "Hey,
I'm sure that Sasami has... something..." Tenchi trailed off as
realization dawned on him. "Uh... where is Sasami, anyway?"

Everyone else in the van blinked. A second later, the vehicle
screeched to a stop.

                                 *****

The young man was working hard to clean up the ice cream shop when a
dense, black cloud smashed through the one remaining intact window.

"Man, that's it." He dropped the mop from his hand and ran out the
back door.

The swarm of gnats spread throughout the building, then swiftly
exited through the broken windows and the holes in the walls. A second
later, the ice cream parlor exploded into a huge fireball.

                                 *****

Things had calmed down once Chibi-Usa decided that the creature
obviously didn't have anything to do with Sailor Pluto. But then it had
begun to bounce rapidly away from the group. Azusa had immediately
chased after it. The other girls had followed, not wanting to loose
track of either of them. Of course, Sasami had run back a minute later
to grab the chin-tapping Shiiko.

Now, they were in front of a mall. The fat, white rabbit had stopped
and was facing the girls as they caught up with it. A beam of light
emitted from the jewel in its forehead and formed into a sign. The
sign read 'Mokona' and had an arrow pointing at the creature.

Skuld's eyes narrowed. She knelt and tried to study the creatures
forehead, but it shied away from her examination. "So your name's
Mokona, huh?"

Azusa snatched up Mokona and began giving it a Hug of Death (tm).
Mokona didn't seem to mind at all.

Shiiko suddenly exclaimed, "Look! They're showing the new Sailor V
movie!" She raced toward the mall's entrance.

Mokona slipped from Azusa's grasp and bounced after Shiiko. Azusa
bounced after Mokona.

Sasami and Skuld sighed, shared a look, then started walking toward
to mall.

"But I've seen that one," Chibi-Usa complained before following the
rest of the girls.

                                 *****

Baxter landed in the small park. Sitting on a bench near a small
pond, he emptied his pockets, creating a small pile of junk equipment.

Muttering to himself, the mad scientist began to piece together a
device. A device much like he had owned before, but much more compact
and much more powerful.

Laughing like the maniac he was, Baxter switched on the unit. The
readout told him that that there was already a large group of bugs
gathered. He wouldn't have to spend time gathering them himself. He
would be able to attack immediately.

"Now the world shall see the true power of April O'Neil!" he shouted
at the city.

                                 *****

They were approaching the second target when the planes went haywire.

General Biter tried to switch his fighter into manual mode, but
the computers wouldn't respond. The formation suddenly reformed and
went flying away from their intended objective.

The General looked on in growing horror as his plan collapsed around
him and the numerous squadrons roared onward, out of his control.

                                 *****

The large black cloud of gnats flew into the park. It was completely
under his control and Baxter celebrated his achievement by dancing for
joy. As the swarm surrounded him, Baxter opened his mouth to speak to
his loyal followers. He received a mouthful of flying bugs for his
trouble.

Coughing, Baxter swung at the gnats in an attempt to drive them
away, but they continued to crowd him. In his rage, he threw the
controlling device at them. It entered the pond with a small plop.

The gnat swarm immediately dispersed, the gnats going off in random
directions.

Baxter stared at the pond and his reflection in it. And a thought
bubbled to the surface of his brain. "I'm... Baxter. Baxter Stockman.
Bzzz..." Baxter flew into the air and away from Graviton. Over the
next few days, he would set the Guinness World Record for 'Longest
overwater flight by a man-fly.'

                                 *****

General Biter crawled away from the flaming wreckage. *So, this is
the end of our glorious empire,* he mused.

As he stood up, his minute shadow was cast by the light of the
burning plane. There would not be another opportunity to defeat the
humans. All their efforts had failed.

Sighing, Biter trudged forward, not looking back, but knowing that he
would have to report to SOB.

                                 *****

It was nearing dinner time as the girls left the movie.

Sasami knew that her sister and friends would be very worried about
her by now. Yet, she felt no compulsion to go find them or even try to
contact them.

There was obviously something keeping her with this group of girls.
She could only assume that the others were being affected in the same
way. *But to what end?* She hoped that the answer, if they discovered
it, would make more sense than the question.

                                 *****

                           To be continued...

                               **********

Pyae: Puu! Puu!

[Pyae runs off screen, laughing. A mob passes by carrying pitchforks
and torches.]
