US Navy is Commodore (commodores and admirals have 1 broad stripe and
varying numbers of narrower stripes, the size of a full stripe on lower
ranks, above that
Major General [Two silver stars = 2-star General]
US NAvy is Rear Admiral
Lieutenant General [Three silver stars = 3-star general]
US NAvy is Vice Admiral
General [Four silver stars = 4-star general]
US Navy is Admiral
General of the Armies [Five silver stars = 5-star general] There are very
few 5 star generals at any one time.
US Navy is Fleet Admiral
