This is a bad idea, but....
I'm sticking my nose where it does not belong.
I'm a member of the home.com network. I know that they take abuse of their mailing
system very seriously. So, if someone wants, I can give anyone the San Diego based
home.com customer service number. Or something on that matter. If anyone is
interested, that is....
P.S. If this is the company that I'm mailing from, it's COX cable (A cable modem
network), and is actually called the "At Home Network" (@home.com).

Probably -- though there's no guarantee that home.com will be willing to
give up a source of dollars just based on the say-so of someone who runs
a tiny little net node.

Yes, but it's worth a try. And sites _do_ punish people for net abuse,
because lowering the reputation of their site by keeping abusers around
ultimately costs them dollars too (unless they're free services).

(And WW should try to inform
the list what he's doing. You know, if you announce you're banning someone,
people will stop telling you to ban him.)
And if you publically announce that you're banning someone, and he comes
back five minutes later under another name, it makes you look rather
foolish and ineffectual. So I kind of understand why WW has been
reluctant to do that.

Then WW can announce "I'm banning him as fast as I can" without announcing
it every single time. At least we'll _know_ he's being banned.

Another thing he can do is be quicker on the uptake, and so can Tybalt. It's
been an awfully long time since GUtB's last change of name. He should not
be given a three week grace period per pseudonym; he should be banned as soon
as it becomes apparent that it's the same person.
That's nice in principle, but if the guy comes back right away under a
different account, what's the point? It only inconveniences people who
have Gub-chan killfiled. Besides, WW works full-time, and can't be
keeping an eye on the list every five minutes. Tybalt seems to be
similarly busy these days, judging by the infrequency of his postings.

There's a difference between five minutes and three weeks.

At any rate, none of us here is White Wolf, and it seems unlikely that
any of us is Tybalt. You might wanna send these suggestions their way,
instead of complaining to us. :)

I did send email to Tybalt (asking him/her to ban GUtB.)
