I'm working on a rewrite of an old story of mine, and as 
Nick Leifker recently put out a "Classic Review" of Benares'
"Stepping Stones," I was wondering if anyone had read it
recently.  Specifically, I'd like to know more about that monk
she goes to visit:

Does anyone know if he's actually a creation of Rumiko-megamisama,
or is he Benares' own creation?  It seems the details he gives about
him are sketchy enough to suggest that there might be more that
the reader would know if they read the manga, but I'm not sure...

Anyway, I guess I don't need to ask for private replies -- you all know
that already, I'm sure.  Of course, if you think the information might
benefit others, go right ahead.
