Hello everyone out there on the ffml, it's been a while since I posted
anything, mainly because I've been working a lot as well as other
things. This is not really a fic just a fight scene. I just got the
urge to write one. any kind of crit is okay no flames please. I might
just add this to a fic I might write.

	A Fight
Two men stood across from each other in a clearing. One wearing
jeans and a sleeveless red jacket, his long blonde hair was covered by a
red hat with a metal plate covering the front of it. The other man,
short dark hair was only clad in a dogi that had it's sleeves torn off
from the force of his blows.
"You're Ryu right?" The Blonde haired man studied the other.
Even at rest the man held himself in readiness for anything. The mark
of a true Martial Artist.
"That's right," Ryu replied. "And you're Terry Bogart." Ryu had
been hearing many things about the Bogart brothers, Terry in particular.
He had heard how Terry had gone up against the god of war and fire,
Mars. Gone up against and won, although not without paying a terrible
price.
"I hear that you're pretty good," Bogart commented, it had been
a while since he had a decent fight, not since the last King of Fighters
tournament. He had nothing left but the fight, having lost both of his
loves in battle, he did not want to cheapen their losses by giving up.
"I've heard the same about you." With that the two fighters
assumed their fighting stances.
****************************
Ryu assumed a deep modified left back stance, to allow for quick
movement. His left hand before him, just below head level, his fist
pointed so that his palm faced up level with the sky. His right arm
held against his side at chest level, drawn back ready to send out a
blow, or to block one. His breathing slowed to an calm, even measured
breathes, to make the full use of his energy.

Terry stance was a bit higher than Ryu's was, with more weight
evenly displaced into his stance to allow for a more solid foundation.
His right hand was out in an open hand gesture, the left in closed fist,
just below his solar plexis, the underside of it facing up. He readied
himself for the assault to come. While Bogart didn't doubt his skills
and abilities, he just liked to get a gist of what he was up against.

*******************************
With unspoken consent, the battle began.

"KIA!" Ryu dashed forward with an over hand smash, that caught
Bogart off guard which caused him to stumble back. He barely had time
to block as Ryu gave a short quick kick low at his feet, and then up at
Terry's chest. It was a classic combination technique, what he didn't
expect was the short, Sho Ryu Ken! That got past his defenses. Sending
Bogart flying backwards from the unexpected blow.
Terry rolled in the air to land on his feet in a crouched
position. As soon as he got his balance he launched himself in the air,
to avoid Ryu's next attack. As soon as he had landed, Ryu was upon him.

A flurry of punches and kicks rained upon him, as Bogart blocked
Ryu's attacks. This time though he wasn't surprised when Ryu unleashed
his Hurricane Kick. Though he expected it, Terry couldn't block all of
it, taking the last of it on the chin, knocking him down.
With a Ki-up, Terry was back on his feet. This time he went on
the offensive. With a quick skip forward, he let loose with a back fist
following up with an upper cut and then a low sweep kick. Ryu had no
trouble blocking the combination, but was caught with the Crack-Shot!'
that followed them. Knocking Ryu back and away from his opponent.
They did not attack right off of that short exchange of blows.
It had not even been a full minute yet. The fighters watched each other
for any signs that the attacks effected the other. Both had amazing
constitutions and quickly recovered from the blows they received. It
would take a lot more than that do take them down for the count. Both
of them had faced god-like creatures and triumphed, while both were
unusual situations and if the need came up, they could probably do it
again. True it would take a lot out of them, so much that they would
have to rest for weeks afterward. There was no need to go to that level
of extreme, for they were just two fighters testing their skills against
a worthy opponent.

With a nod, both Ryu and Terry decided to stop testing each
other and really let loose.

"Hado-Ken!" Ryu's Ki-blast rocketed toward Bogart, who struck
the earth with his fist..

"Power Wave!" The two Ki attacks canceled each other out. Both
deriving their power from the fighter's Will and the energy that they
gathered from the world around them. Ryu's from the very essence of
life that surrounded him. From Terry, from the very Earth beneath his
feet.
Terry started to draw in power from the Earth to fuel his next
attack. His stance that of a solid half-horse riding stance, his arms
tense and out to the side. The Ki flowed from the ground of collect
around him.
"Hakkyokuseiken Final Attack!" With that Terry threw his leg
out in a round house kick and started spinning around in place. Tornado
like winds formed around him, and it advanced on Ryu.
Knowing he couldn't block such an act met force with force.
Waiting until Bogart came withing striking distance and was totally
committed to his attack. With that he wound up, gathering his Ki into
his legs and let out with his Super-Hurricane Kick.
The two fast moving kicked impacted against each other, trice
trying to over come the other before the force of their combined might.
Ryu and Terry were thrown high into the air, the both of them were so
focused on their attacks that there was no way for them to absorb the
force of the blows.
It took a second for them to recover after landing to the ground
below, in such a fight a second is a very long time.
Terry was the first to recover, charging forward he let loose
with his next attack.
"Burn Knuckle" Ki formed around his fist, as he dashed toward
Ryu.

Ryu braced himself and just when Bogart was close enough let
loose with another Sho Ryu Ken, unfortunately he timed it wrong and
received the full force of Terry's attack. This time he did roll with
it and standing across the clearing from Bogart and let loose with most
powerful technique.
"Moko-Hado-ken!" The power formed around his hands as he threw
them at Bogart, releasing a steady stream of Ki.
Terry's eyes flashed red as he drew in as much power from the
Earth as possible, and striking the ground with his fist.
"Power Geyser!" The Energy of the Earth erupted from the ground
six feet in height!
The two waves of power met in between them.
	"BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
A huge explosion blanketed the whole clearing.
************************************

Later that night, the two fighters sat around a fighter
discussing their battles and sharing a bottle of Scotch.
"That's never happened before," *Hic* Ryu mumbled. Terry
watched amused as he got totally sauced.
"I know," Terry paused to down another drink. "It might had to
do with different power sources..." He trailed off as he noticed that
his drinking buddy had entered dreamland. He sighed and stared into
the fire, remembering memories that are best long forgotten.

		The End.
