[Cut a bit out here]

I'm just a little peeved that everyone's so willing to attribute
everything to the series in which he was writing. Surely the quality of
the work must have some effects on whether people drop in a comment?

Several reasons: His mail server ain't working, people are lazy,
or they didn't bother to read it. Could be more.

And that's why some of us - like me - will quite welcome flames and take
the time to answer stupid questions (haven't had any here yet, happily)
politely, because at least somebody read it...

Out of curiosity, has anyone considered the possibility that maybe the fic
was good enough that it didn't *need* critisism, but wasn't a shining
paragon of fanfic virtues, so that it didn't encourage people to gush over
it? I'll admit that part of the reason this list exists is to help
author's improve. Still, with so many members, can most people address
*all* fics? One has to pick and choose. How much C&C have any of you
given to those fics that just seem to be 'okay, pretty good'? Don't spam
anyone with answers, please. Just think about it.

I'll admit that it's rather disconcerting if one spends a large amount of
time on a piece of writing, only to find that no one's responding. I know
your pain. However, I believe that someone has already asserted that
they've sent the author some C&C, which was never responded to. It was
evidently lost, was resent, end of discussion.

The sardines weren't worth the trouble. A few more shots, then
Ryoga-san would overheat and explode. Ducking around a corner,
I managed to lose him as I entered the ramshackle residence of
my Anime supplier.

One look at his face and I knew that I was betrayed. "Tell me."
I insisted. He refused, so I slammed him against the wall.
"Last chance. Where can Ranma-Ranma find good fanfics?"
"Try Jason Liao." he whispered, before he slumped to the floor.
I heard the sounds of a door splintering as I left through the
window, one step ahead of Tendo Heavy Industries...
