El Hazard characters do not belong to me, neither do Ranma1/2
characters. C&C welcomed, MST''s too. This is sorta meant as a silly
parody of El Hazard, with the Ranma characters in most of the El Hazard
character places.

"So where are we going now Oyaji?" the voice belonged to a young male
with blue
eyes and raven-dark hair braided into a pigtail. He was known as Ranma
Saotome
or more affectionately, just plain Ran-chan to the girl beside him.

Genma sighed. He had no real idea what to do now. They had travelled
for ten
years and he had taught Ranma almost everything he knew. Soon it would
be time
to go home, except there was no home to go to. If only Soun had not
disappeared
twenty-three years ago. He could remember the last drinking binge they
had, on
the night Soun disappeared and on the eve of his and Nodoka's wedding.
They had
joked about how they would one day unite the Tendo and Saotome lines but
it had
never come true with Soun's disappearance.

"Hey Oyaji! Where are we going?" Ranma yelled again, trying to get his
father
to answer him.

"Ranchan, quit being so impatient. He'll tell us when we get there,"
his
travelling companion, Ukyou Kuonji chided.

" I've got a bad feeling about this," Ranma grumbled to no one in
particular.

 ****

"Are you sure it's safe Washu?" Tenchi asked nervously as he looked at
Washu's
invention.

"Relax, I made it didn't I?" Washu said, smiling as she crossed her
fingers
behind her back. She didn't mention the last two times she had tried
this, the
machine had backfired.

 ****

Ryouga smirked as he caught sight of his prey. Finally after so long,
after
trekking through China, he had caught up on Ranma Saotome. Finally
revenge would
be his. Not to mention he would be able to liberate Ukyou from his
grasp.

"Ranma!" he yelled as he charged towards him.

 ****

Ranma fidgeted as he walked along the street. For some reason, he just
couldn't
stay still. Something was wrong, was about to happen. Suddenly, he saw
it. A
black circle of darkness hovering in the air in front of them.

"What is that!?" he said, stopping immediately.

"I don't know," Ukyou said, already getting herself into a defensive
posture in
case the black circle was some sort of enemy.

*Uh-oh,* was Genma's only thought as the black circle expanded,
encompassing
them.

 ****

*Damn, it didn't work again!* Washu thought as she recovered from the
shockwave
of her machine blowing up.

 ****

Ranma awoke with a killer headache. Blinking once or twice, he took in
his
surroundings. "Where am I?" he asked as he took in the strange scenery.

"Ucchan? Oyaji? Anyone!?" he yelled as he stood up. Almost immediately
he heard
a rustling in the bushes across him. Dropping into an offensive stance,
he
waited for whatever had made the noise to appear.

"Ranma, that you?" Genma said as he stumbled out from the bush.

Ranma relaxed slightly. "Hey Oyaji, you have any idea where we are
now?" Ranma
said.

"None at all boy, I've never even seen trees this colour before." Genma
replied
solemnly.

"Great, now we're lost, what else can go wrong?" Ranma asked
hypothethically.
Glancing around quickly, he added, "Hey, where's Ucchan?"

Suddenly a scream pierced the tranquil forest air. A feminine scream.

Before he knew it, Ranma was up on his feet and running towards the
source of
the scream, already fearing the worst. Was it Ukyou who was screaming?

He stopped in a large clearing where he saw the person who screamed.
Unfortunately it wasn't Ukyou, it wasn't even someone Ranma had seen
before. She
seemed older than him, though not by very much, with long brown hair
carefully
tied up into a pony tail. She was also wearing a dress that would have
been
better suited for housekeeping than for running in a forest.

"What's she running from?" Ranma said out loud to no one in particular
as the
woman reached him.

"From them maybe?" Genma pointed towards two figures flying in the air.

Ranma blinked as he took them in. They seemed human but had wings along
with
rough taloned hands. *Ok, it's nothing. I've handled worse than this
before.*

"Go on Ranm, you go..um, fight them while I stay back and protect the
girl,"
Genma offered, pushing his son forward.

" Thanks a lot pop," Ranma growled as he faced his two advesaries.

"Give us the girl!" one figure shouted.

"Uh-uh, you want her you gotta get through me first." Ranma said,
readying
himself for anything they might try.

"Fine, let's teach him a lesson," the other figure replied.

Just then it started to rain.

Ranma blinked as he faced two completely human boys.

"Come on, let's charge him! He can't take us both down," the first
figure
yelled.

Five seconds later, the fight was over with both boys sailing over the
horizon.

"That takes care of that," Ranma snorted, rubbing his hands together.
He turned
back to see whether the woman was okay only to see she was surrounded by
several
other people. One of them spotting him came over. Ranma assessed him
silently,
the person was apparently another martial artists from the way he moved,

although not as good as him(*of course no one was,* Ranma thought) the
person
was quite good by normal standards. He noticed the bokken the person
carried
with him.

"Ah, many thanks to you stranger who would help us save our beloved
princess,
the fair Kasumi Tendo from the vile, evil clutches of the insidious
Bird-rom.
'Tis a pity that I could not have vanquished them myself but alas I
arrived too
late."

Ranma blinked as he took all this in. "Uh...yeah, you're welcome. Your
name
would be?"

"What!? You know not of me? The mighty and valiant warrior, Kuno
Tatewaki? The
Blue Thunder of Roshtaria," Kuno finished dramatically just a lightning
split
the air.

*Nice touch,* Ranma thought. "Yeah well, me and my father were just
passing
through," he turned to point at his pop, "So if you don't mind, could
you tell
us where we are?"

"Why you are in Roshtaria of course," Kuno said, blinking at what he
thought
was obviously a stupid question.

"Ah....I don't suppose you know how we can get to Japan from here do
you?"
Ranma asked, hoping against hope that Kuno would say yes.

"I fear not. But mind not, for you must come with us. You have helped
save the
princess, although I myself could have done that. You must come with us
to
Roshtaria where the King would wish to reward thee handsomely."

Genma who had been strangely silent up till now suddenly spoke up.
"Yes, I
think we will do that."

"Wait! What about Ukyou? We have to find her first," Ranma said,
protesting as
Genma and Kuno dragged him along to the royal airship.

 ****

At the palace, they were enjoying a royal welcome, well except for
Ranma who
was busy worrying about Ukyou even though he knew that she could take
care of
herself. The one foot scar running across his back proved that, once
Ukyou had
gotten careless and managed to get a lucky shot at him or so he had
claimed. But
still it was natural, Ukyou was one of his best friends, if not the best
and one
of his only friends. If something happened to her and he wasn't there to
stop
it...

"Saotome!?" a gasp of shocked recognition cut through his thoughts. He
watched
idly as a tall man in a royal-looking gi, with a mustache and long
flowing hair
hugged his father, crying joyously at the same time.

"Tendo! What a pleasent surprise to find you here! So this is where you
have
been all these years?" Genma asked.

"Yes," Soun said, pouring on the waterworks, "Waah! It was so horrible,
one
night I was just walking home when poof a black hole appears and I
suddenly
appear here! Luckily, I met my future wife, the former queen here and we
got
married after two years."

*This is the king!?* Ranma thought disbelievingly as he watched the
fountain of
tears spill from Soun as the brown haired girl, Kasumi try to cheer him
up.

"So where's your wife, I'd like to meet her," Genma said, still
smiling.

"She died," Soun said sadly before springing into more tears.

The smile dropped from Genma's face immediately. "Oh," he said
intelligiently
as he searched for a way to make his friend feel better. "Say, still
remember
our promise?*wink, wink, nudge nudge*"

"What promis--Oh you mean the one we made that night!" Recognition
flashed
across Soun's face.

"Yup," Genma said. "This-" he said proudly, pointing at Ranma,"-is my
son,
Ranma Saotome. Takes after his old pop doesn't he?"

Ranma gagged slightly at that last statement, although he tried to make
it less
obvious since it wouldn't be totally polite and these were strangers he
was
among. He didn't have a single idea of what was going on but he
suspected that
it involved him. He had a sudden urge to run and hide but surpressed it.

"Um...sure he does," Soun said politely before turning to Kasumi.
"Kasumi,
could you call all your other sisters here please?" As Kasumi left, he
turned to
the other guards in the palace, including Kuno. "You may leave now."

"Yes your majesty," they all replied. As he turned to leave, Kuno
stopped
before Ranma. "Ah, 'tis a pleasure making your acquaintence although I
am sure
the pleasure was all yours. I notice that thou art a martial artist and
glad you
should be that I, Kuno Tatewaki, Blue Thunder of Rostharia "--lightning
flashed
again--" would like to test my prowess against you some day," he said
before
walking off, leaving Ranma staring at his back.

*He said all that in one breath!?* Ranma thought, not sure what to make
of
Kuno.

"What is it dad?" a bored voice said. The voice belonged to a girl with
a
short, almost tomboyish haircut. "What happened this time?"

"Yeah, I'd like to know too! I was having a perfectly good sparring
session.
What'd you drag us here for?" the shortest of the trio of girls huffed
as she
stamped into the hall.

"Ranma, I'd like you to meet my three daughters, Akane, Kasumi and
Nabiki,"
Soun said, smiling warmly. He turned to his daughters and said, " Ranma
is to be
engaged to one of you."

"WHAT!?" Ranma screamed, being echoed by Akane.

"You can't be serious!" Akane demanded, walking up straight to her
father.

Meanwhile Ranma was dealing with this new entanglement in his own way.
"What's
the meaning of this Oyaji!!" he said, grabbing a hold of Genma.

"Now now, Akane. Genma and I decided to engage one of you and Ranma
before you
two were born," Soun said, trying to placate his youngest daughter.

" What do you mean you engaged me to one of them!?" Ranma screamed, his
grip
tightening on Genma.

"Now now boy, it's a matter of family honour," Genma said weakly, as
Ranma's
voice pounded through his head.

Ranma paused for a while before letting go of Genma as an almost crafty
smile
appeared on his face.(Well as crafty as Ranma can look) "Wait, I'll
accept the
engagement on two conditions. One, I can choose whoever I want, and two,
if both
parties don't get along, I can terminate the engagement."

"Great!" Soun said, thinking that all his dreams were finally coming
true.
"There's Akane,17, Nabiki,18 and Kasumi,20. Take your pick."

"Oh he wants Akane," Kasumi said quickly.

"Definately," Nabiki offered, pushing Akane forward like a sacrificial
lamb.

"Hey! Don't I get any choice in this!?" Akane protested fiercely.

Ranma looked at her intently for a few moments.

"What are you looking at you pervert!"

"Okay I choose her," Ranma said off-handedly, idly flipping his
pig-tail over
his shoulder.

"What!?" Akane said increculously. *How dare he!! Grr..* she thought as
she
walked forward, fully intending to make him hurt.

"Good, you don't like me right?" Ranma said, suddenly turning so he
faced her.
She found herself staring into his sapphire-blue eyes. She paused for a
moment,
the slightest fraction of an instant before replying. "No, I don't!!"

"Good, we're not getting along. Engagement terminated," Ranma said,
walking
away. *Good, now I can go and find Ukyou before she gets hurt.*
Still...that
girl looked rather kawaii just now.

"What! But you can't, family honour intends that you marry her!!" Soun
wailed.

"You just said that you only engaged me to one of them. Now that
engagement's
off. Trust me Mr.Tendo, your daughters are happier off this way," Ranma
said
without even turning back.

"But...but you can't just walk off like that!" Soun protested.

 "Who's going to stop me?"

"Good, who wants to be engaged to such a perverted boy anyway," Akane
sniffed
in disdain.

"Who wants to be engaged to such a kawaiikune tomboy anyway," Ranma
retorted
without thinking, using the patented Saotome [Foot-in-mouth] technique.

He never had a chance as the king's throne slammed down onto him,
knocking him
unconscious.

 "Now that he deserved."

"Akane you stopped him! You do love him!" Soun said, crying as he
hugged Akane.
"I'm so happy, my baby is going to get married!!"

 ****

"Urgh, what hit me?" Ranma said as he came to. He looked around, only
to
discover he was in a room that looked like a common Japanese bedroom.

"Akane did," Nabiki replied with a smirk. She had to admit that he was
cute but
she didn't want to be tied down before she made her first million.

"Great, she's not only uncute, she's violent too," Ranma muttered just
before
the door opened.

"Saotome you cur!! How dare you force yourself upon the fair Akane!!"
Kuno
screamed as he burst into the room, his bokken whirling.

Ranma easily managed to avoid the wild bokken slashes that Kuno
directed at
him, his superior speed giving him an unbeatable edge. "Get real Kuno! I
don't
want her!" he said, hoping to make Kuno stop.

" You lie!! What male would not desire the fair Akane!!" Kuno ranted,
his
bokken strikes becoming faster and faster.

"How bout one with more intelligience than you," Ranma retorted, still
dodging
Kuno's clumsy strikes. That was when the door opened again.

"Ranma, good news!! You're going with your fiancee to visit the three
priestesses!" Genma said proudly, grinning as he watched Ranma's
reaction.

"What!?" Ranma screamed, as he looked at Genma. Unfortunately, this
allowed
Kuno to close in on him.

 ----

"Ouch," Ranma winced as he touched the cut at his side. *Damn it pop!
Why did
you have to distract me like that,* he thought sourly.

"Hah, it's just a cut. You'd think a man like you would be able to take
more
than that," Akane huffed as she tried to be as unpleasent as possible.
She
didn't like the idea of being forced into an engagement just because of
some
stupid deal their fathers had when they were drunk.

"You should see the other party," Ranma said, remembering the pounding
he had
given Kuno. He smirked slightly at the memory. "So who's our guide?"
Ranma
asked, pointing towards the male who had followed him. He didn't look
much older
than them at all.

"Oh, him? He's Mousse," Akane said dismissively.

"Come on, Mt. Muldoon is this way," Mousse said, pointing towards the
direction
of the ship that had sent them here. "Be careful, this place is full of
dangers," he said, talking towards a bush.

Ranma sighed as he slapped a hand to his forehead. What else could go
wrong?

Authors Note: When will chapter two be out??? I have no idea though,
time is seriously getting scarce for me. But in chapter 2, or #II Ranma
meets up with the priestess's of Muldoon, and guess who the water
priestess is.... First correct reply gets a special No-prize. Also, more
fun and galore as Ryouga catches up to Ranma.
