Seriously, I'm subscribed to the Eva ML, and they had someone one there
who tried to e-mail Ikari Gendou FAQ to correct some wrong info on
there, and the response was basically "Go to hell".

Do you flame everyone with a differing opinion?

You mean Kaworu. Oh, yeah, that bugger. After a month he e-mailed Rossman
again, asking if he could use the info he earlier disparaged so publicly.
Talk about seeing it from another point of view.

You people *OBVIOUSLY* HAVE THE GOSPEL TRUTH in your *INTERPRETATION* of
the Red Cross Book, when nothing in the FAQ contradicts a single thing in
it. There's nothing more to discuss with the Evangelion ML, especially one
that seems to be going on just the scripts of the movies, which were ALSO
translated through someone else's beliefs; and then lambasts the
interpretations of people who HAVE watched the movies.

Oh, and by the way, I've read the Red Cross Book. I've also watched the
movies. I've also read the interviews. But no, my view is wrong, and your
script-spoon-fed view is THE CORRECT ONE.

MY GOD, you'd think we'd stolen a look at the Koran or ate pork. Why treat
us like we committed 'haram'? What did I do, say something like 'the FFML
has no taste'? (Hi, Rod)

I'm preempting Tybalt here, but this discussion is CLOSED on the list,
since it no longer has anything to do with writing.

Furthermore, you'll never make me agree that your views are GOSPEL either,
because Evangelion is all about personal interpretation. It is what you
make of it. If Director Anno can have a sense of humor about it (Evangelion
Addition - the audio self-parody of Evangelion), then why can't you?
Because HE'S wrong, too?

I don't want any more part of this. If you can't respect other people's
views on the subject, just because of your consensual view on the matter,
then why should I respect yours?

I don't need this. I just came from the 'idea' debate and apparently free
speech is a crime.

I need an aspirin.

"The story grew in the most convoluted way, as many people will be
surprised to learn. Writing episodically meant that when I finished one
episode I had no idea about what the next one would contain. When, in the
twists and turns of the plot, some event suddenly seemed to illuminate
things that had gone before, I was as surprised as anyone else."
