Ranma spun as he felt the fetid breath on the back of his
neck, and drove a ki-powered kick into a demon's face.  He felt
the thick exoskeleton give under the impact with a sickening
crunch, but didn't pause to contemplate as he leaped out of the

    Right.  He turned, his battle senses straining so much it
hurt.  Two more down, and...

    ...and...

    Ranma blinked.

    The attack had ceased.

My eyes flick faster than lightning to see how much of the story is left 
. . . 
Ooooooh you bassstard . . .

    **You are mine.**

Nooooooo! she did it to us again! Arrrrrg! rampageBloodyfrothscream 
maimdeathkillmurderevil destruction . . .
Damn.  Now i have to clean off my monitor screen.

Author's Notes:  You know, I'm so close to the end, I could have
just finished this whole thing off before submitting it.  But
since 20 is such a nice, rounded number, and I *am* so close to
the end, I thought I'd indulge in one final cliffhanger.  Don't
hurt me. ^_^

Wait its her fault for the cliffhanger, and her fault for making me like 
the story so much in the first place!  DOUBLE PAYBACK!

seriously, though, I really liked it.  Other than the above insanity, I 
have a few questions/comments

I am a little unsure about Kuh Lon's motivations.  She said part of it 
is a wish for the happiness of her great-grandaughter, but I think 
Shampoo made it clear her happiness did not lie in that direction.
Does she think she knows best, or just is plain insane in the membrane 
and ignores the untraditional feelings of shampoo?

I am also not so sure about the mental turmoil of Nabiki and her 
feelings of detachment with the cold self threatening Kuh Lon.  Somthing 
about the wind?  Typical programmed body?

Loved the bit with Susanoo.  BAD pun.
