Is it just me or have people noticed the glut of
Self-Insert to pass through the ML lately?

Hmmm...I seem to have started a fad.

Hate to burst your bubble, but self-insertion fics started long before you
arrived, and will continue long after you stop writing.  ^_^

The idea is hardly original; one only needs to read "Walter Mitty" or "A
Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" or any of a hundred other
examples to know how often self-insertion has been used over the years.
