Hey y'all, here's the full prologue and an *extremely* small portion of
Chapter 1.

<prologue>
[ the Q2 logo cutscene, if you've ever seen it, is playing as you hear
this prologue]
"....As of 8:32 this morning, a devestating attack was made on our planet
by an unknown force.."
"....Nerima, Japan, Dallas, Texas, and Ontario, Canada worst hit by the
attack..."
"...A massive counterstrike being planned by UN task force NERV in
association with the RDF, USMC, and Galaxy Police....."
"....We here would like to wish these brave soldiers the best of
luck...."

<chapter1> : Hospital

"We get nowhere,
we talk
and talk
and talk
and talk
and talk
and talk
and talk
and talk
AND
countless signs of your rejection
POINT YOURSELF IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION"
--"right direction", Sugar Ray

The monster strode towards Ryoga. Seemingly everywhere, there was blood
and fire, and Ryoga couldn't see anything except the monster and couldn't
move, no matter how much he struggled. The monster had obvious signs of
damage; even a wooden sword impaled through it. Ryoga screamed, felt his
heartbeat accelerate, and through every attack he knew at it. But it kept
coming at him, closer and closer-
Chains wrapped around the ugly chunk of flesh and metal, barely
restraining it. Ryoga heard Mousse yell, "RUN!!!! Run, you fool!!!! You
can still save Akane!!!"
But he couldn't move..................

He awoke with a start. Ryoga realized he was in a hospital and had the
amazingly sinking feeling that his nightmare had come true. After
checking himself for injuries and only finding more than a few bruises,
he staggered to the door. He found that it was hard to walk, like he had
been sitting down for a long time, which he rarely did, and all his limbs
felt sore, like he had slept on them all. Ryoga limped to a nurse he saw
cleaning up a spill, who saw him and said, "Oh, you must be one of the
survivors from Nerima? Your friends are in room 114-b." Ryoga thanked the
nurse and stumbled to where he thought that room was. Instead, he turned
a corner and saw something that would make a significant change on all
their lives.
