Now, I've found precious little use for guns in any of the fics I've
written so far but that changed when I started actually working on "Osaka
Naru : Freelance" Which I've revised several ideas on and made her less of
a gun-nut :(
If you don't know about guns but want to write an accurate Gunsmith Cats
story well then you're looking for realism.
-of course then you need to work on the cars.
Anyway, I have noticed two books for casual firearms writers...
both are from game systems so that if that sort of guide around your house
may make friends edgy... well, it's only for a game.
The first book is one from Palladium and I don't own it...it's a guide
to modern firearms and weapons that gives a brief description and how much
dammage this particulair wepon will due in game terms and some general
info. I did not pick this up because it was a little to vauge.
The one which I DO have is really more than enough.... it's the
Compendium of Modern Firearms by Kevin Dockery Published by R.Talsorian
Games, Inc., which gives you the actual weapon info -then brief notes
on game effects.....
When I have to find the perfect ancient weapon...well it's either a trip
to the museum (the ROM has a really cool weapon... a cavalry saber with a
built-in mini-flintlock.) my own library or elsewhere.

I met a Lady in the Meads,
Full beautiful, a faery's child,
Her hair was long, her foot was light
And her eyes were wild.
