Right. Once again, I've slapped the DARK tag on and doled out another
ugly portion of this fic.

I've gotten a few notes from people, and I've made a few changes in the
previous chapters. If you have C&C for me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I don't know if Nabiki is OOC in this chapter, and if she is, please let
me know. I simply didn't think she was as smart as many people made her
out to be. At least, not in the information trading business. That or
nearly as smart as to think a normal person may be a raving psychopathic
lunatic underneath. Heh.

Enough mindless rambling from me.

If you don't like DARK stuff, then don't read any more. There. I've
warned you.

C&C greatly appreciated. Flames are not.

Nabiki's intelligence has been argued before and will probably be argued
for a long time yet after I write this. True, we don't know how big her
operation at Furinken is. In the information business, it may just be
idle gossip that she sells. But, I don't think that she is that bad in
handling any type of deal be it information or not. Even I know not to
accept the first bid right off. I know that the money offered was a
great sum, but Nabiki would only think how much more she can milk . She
is an unrelenting in getting the most out of a scheme (examples: any
Kuno transaction, fiancee story line, story line where she takes revenge
on Ranma).

Even assuming that Nabiki's greed would get the better of her, she
should have been wary after the first couple of words. In their opening
talks, Nabiki has noted that the man is not a fighter, has paid ALOT of
money, and seems to ignore the fact that Ranma is a powerful fighter yet
he still wants to take revenge. If this doesn't send warning bells to
her that this man may have other and more deadly means of winning I
don't know what will. She may or may not care about Ranma's survival but
she does about her family's. I don't know anyone that wouldn't be wary
if a person wanted to off a person that lived with my family.

In short, I think Nabiki's portrayal depends on your beliefs. If you
think that she is a greedy, two-bit operator than it works. I'm of the
opinion that Nabiki is smart and cares more than she lets on, but then
that's just me.

Anyway, I'd like to finish this by saying that this work is very
interesting and would like to see more. Until next time ^_^
