It never realy occured to me to wonder about the religion of the Ranma 
cast, but as has been said before, it is quite likly Shinto(let me know 
if I spelled this wrong) or possibly  Cristianity, or Buhudism.  As far 
as the religions overlapping, this is quite simple.  All of the above 
listed religions have many factors that are completely compatibly if not 
already presant in the other religions.  Take the famly shrines for 
example.  Christians may not make shrines to deceased relatives, there 
is still a large level of respect, so while it is not a traditional part 
of the christion religion, it would still be an exceptable practice.(in 
my opinoin at least, or I may just be more open minded than some.  If 
you have any comments on that hough keep it to private email, as we 
don't need a philisopical battle on the list.)
There are also other instances were this is true.  Unless one of the 
characters actualy addresses the issue, the only one who knows there 
religious views would be Takahashi her self, if she has ever given it 
any thought.  Of course as a fan fic writer you may feel free to fill in 
which ever data you feel necesary for your story.
