Subject: Re: Info You Requested

Thanks *very* much for the pictures you sent of Yurika-chan! She's
totemo kawaii! She's definitely going to turn a lot of heads when she grows
up ...

Anyway, here are a few more data sheets on certain people who seem
to be unique to our ficton. I hope these are useful to you!

By the way, you might want to tell whoever runs your computer
security that you've got a leak. The last copy of these that I sent you got
dropped in the lap of a certain green-eyed menace to society -- which was
useful for us to be able to flush him out, but still ... if he can get
access to diplomatic mail pouches, who knows what he can get?

Asagiri, Ennis

Real name: Nene Sheila Asagiri-Stingray.
Occupation: Magician, Palladin.
Identity: Public knowledge.
Legal status: Citizen of the Crystal Realm with no criminal record.
Other aliases: N.S. Asagiri.
Place of birth: Crystal Tokyo, Honshu.
Marital status: Single.
Known relatives: Sylia Stingray (biological father), Priscilla S. Asagiri
(mother), Rei Asagiri (sister).
Group affiliation: Palladins of Crystal Tokyo.
Base of operations: Crystal Tokyo, Honshu.
History:
Born in 2972, Nene Sheila Asagiri-Stingray is the first child of
Priss Asagiri and Sylia Stingray, concieved with the assistance of
so-called "Instant Nannichuan" powder. She was named for a deceased
comrade of Priss and Sylia, and for her godmother, Sheila Tenkai.
Nene's aptitude for magic was identified at an early age, and she
was trained in magic-use by professionals. She began to abbreviate her
name to Ennis not long after her fourteenth birthday. Immediately after
successfully taking the Citizenship test, she volunteered for the
Palladins, and was sponsored by Lady Mercury, who had been training her in
certain elements of her chosen speciality, computer magic.
Ennis' career as a Palladin has been respectable, but
undistinguished. She lacks the ambition to become a truly powerful mage,
and has passed up chances to do so, preferring to progress at her chosen
rate. However, she is also kind and friendly, and is generally considered
to be one of the nicest of the Palladins currently in service.
Height: 165 cm
Weight: 62 kg.
Eyes: Light blue.
Hair: Blonde
Known superhuman powers:
Ennis Asagiri is a trained magician. While she lacks much of the
magical power of her famous namesake, she has the advantages of a fuller
understanding of the powers that she seeks to manipulate. She specializes
in magic that interacts with technology, and her most commonly used spell is
one to project her consciousness into a computer system or network, and so
interact directly with the system in that way.
Other abilities:
Ennis has been trained in self-defense, and recieved a Palladin's
education in the use of most of the Crystal Realm's military technology.
She is not an active combatant, however.

Asagiri, Rei

Real name: Linna Raye Asagiri-Stingray
Occupation: Singer/songwriter
Identity: Rei Asagiri's parentage is not generally known.
Legal status: Provisional citizen of the Crystal Realm with no criminal
record who is still a legal minor.
Other aliases: Linna Stengovitch.
Place of birth: Crystal Tokyo, Honshu.
Marital status: Single.
Known relatives: Priscilla S. Asagiri (biological father), Sylia Stingray
(mother), Ennis Asagiri-Stingray (sister).
Group affiliation: None.
Base of operations: Crystal Tokyo, Honshu.
History:
Born in 2983, Linna Raye Asagiri-Stingray is the second child of
Priss Asagiri and Sylia Stingray, conceived with the assistance of the
so-called Instant Nannichuan powder. (Her "father" was Priss and her
mother was Sylia, instead of vice versa like her elder sister, Ennis.)
She was named for a deceased companion of Priss and Sylia, and for her
godmother, Lady Mars.
Linna's naturally rebellious tendencies were quietly encouraged by
both her parents, despite the fact that they lead to her moving out of the
family home when she was fourteen to pursue a career as a singer. (Priss
has confided to Lady Mars that she wants Linna to find her own identity
rather than living in the shadow of her parents fame as her elder sister
is content to do.) At the very beginning of her career, she naively chose
the stage name "Rei Asagiri", believing (wrongly) that no one would make
the connection. She has enjoyed considerable success in her musical
career, despite her rivalry (and love/hate relationship) with her fellow
singer/songwriter, Eriko Tamura. The success she has enjoyed has given
her confidence, and it is believed that she will take her Citizenship test
next year, on her eighteenth birthday.
Height: 163 cm.
Weight: 58 kg.
Eyes: Reddish-brown.
Hair: Purple-black.
Known superhuman powers: None
Other abilities:
Rei Asagiri possesses greater-than-normal strength, reaction
speed, and resilience. Her intellect is also considerably greater than
average, despite her average performance in academic tests. Her singing
voice is one of the best in the realm, and her songwriting talents are
without peer. She has been trained in self-defense, and is a talented
martial artist.

Gideon, Michael

Full name: Unknown; the name Michael Gideon was probably an alias.
Occupation: Supernatural investigator, former vampyre hunter.
Identity: Michael's superhuman powers and real name were not to the
public, but he did not maintain a secret identity.
Legal status: Citizen of the United States with no known criminal record.
Former aliases: None known.
Place of birth: Georgetown, Texas.
Place of death: Nerima ward, Tokyo, Japan.
Marital status: Single.
Known relatives: None.
Group affiliation: Former member of the Shadows, frequent partner of
Aethan DeGales.
Base of operations: Mobile.
Background:
Most of what is known about Michael Gideon's past is subject to
conjecture; he gave contradictory accounts of his life at various times.
He was probably born around 1972, based on his stated age when he first
met Aethan DeGales, and once stated that he had lived "all his life" in
the town where he was attending college at that time.
Michael's psychic abilities began to manifest in his early
adolescence, but he had never actually trained in their use, regarding
them as useful only for amusement purposes. During his first year of
college, however, several of his close friends were killed in suspicious
accidents. Investigating, he became convinced that these accidents were
the work of a vampire, which was using them to cover up his handiwork.
Michael used his abilities to hunt down and destroy the vampire, in the
process discovering a new power -- that of being able to drain energy from
living or undead victims, which he termed "psychic vampirism".
Michael discovered that he enjoyed the thrill of hunting vampires,
and decided to continue doing so. Over the next few months, he killed at
least four and possibly five vampires, each time using his psychic
vampirism. Unfortunately, he quickly became addicted to the use of this
ability, and began to be tempted to use his ability on a human being,
despite the fact that he was convinced that to do so would be fatal.
Desperate, Michael issued a psychic cry for help, which was
answered by Aethan DeGales, who had fortunately been engaging in an astral
projection at the time. Despite a strong mutual distrust, Aethan was able
to assist Michael in realizing that he could use his psychic vampirism in
non-fatal ways, by draining minute amounts of life energy, which would
also allow him to gradually work his way free of his addiction. Michael
implemented the plan, and within a month he was free of his addiction.
As a result of the compassion that Aethan had shown him, and the
lingering psychic bond that their work had created, Michael began to be
more cautious and less judgemental in his hunting. He assisted Aethan in
several difficult affairs in which the ancient vampyre became embroiled,
and they joined forces to defeat Lord Ruthven, Aethan's personal enemy,
who claimed that he had engineered the development of Michael's powers.
(However, Lord Ruthven is a notorious liar.)
Michael was one of the first agents that Aethan recruited to form
the Shadows in 1994, and he survived the battle in which the Shadows were
destroyed. He later joined forces with Aethan again during the Gathering
of the Palladins, which unfortunately cost him his life; <spoilers
removed>.
Height: 179 cm.
Weight: 80 kg.
Eyes: Grey.
Hair: Jet black.
Known superhuman powers:
Michael Gideon was one of the most formidable human psychics of
his generation, only slightly inferior to Kyousuke Kasuga. He possessed
abilities of telepathy, teleportation, and psychokinesis. He had only
begun to reach his peak of power when he died.
His most formidable power was that of psychic energy vampirism, a
process roughly analogous to the "energy drain" abilities of youma. It
involved draining "life energy" which appeared to be tied to the neural
structures of his victims, as its depletion would leave the victim
extremely tired and forgetful, and could be fatal if it was used to
excess. For some reason, this power was extremely effective against
vampyres and other creatures which were technically not alive. Michael
was able to use this energy to amplify his other abilities, or to heal his
injuries. Unfortunately, frequent use of this power tended to be
addictive.
Other abilities:
Michael was a trained combatant, specializing in knife-fighting
techniques. He was also a talented investigator, and had extensive
knowledge of supernatural and paranormal phenomena.

Mizuno, Ryouko

Full name: Ryouko Mizuno-Hibiki
Occupation: Retired battlesuit pilot and marine lieutenant.
Identity: Publicly known.
Legal status: Citizen of the Crystal Realm of Earth with no criminal
record.
Former aliases: None known.
Place of birth: Lhasa, Tibet.
Marital status: Single.
Known relatives: Amy Mizuno (mother), Ryouga Hibiki (father), Hiroe
Mizuno-Hibiki (aka Hiroe Hibiki) (sister), Ritsuko Urawa (half-sister).
Group affiliation: Palladin of Crystal Tokyo, former lieutenant in the
Royal Space Marines.
Base of operations: An undisclosed location in the Phillipines.
History:
Ryouko Mizuno was born in 2055, seven months after her mother, Amy
Mizuno (alias Lady Mercury) performed a magical ritual on her father,
Ryouga Hibiki, that gave him immortality at the cost of much of his
humanity. Her concerns forced Amy to keep her pregnancy a secret from
Ryouga, and he did not learn that he had a daughter until recently.
Ryouko, in her turn, was told very little about her father.
During Ryouko's childhood, due to the difficulties confronting the
Sailor Senshi at the time, she was frequently left in the care of nannies
and robots, not unlike her mother had been. However, she was also
sometimes cared for by her elder half-sister, Ritsuko Urawa (the only
child of Amy's first marriage), until she was thirteen, when Ritsuko
entered cryogenic suspension to wait for the creation of Crystal Tokyo.
Ryouko admired Ritsuko a great deal, and was terribly hurt by her
apparent abandonment of her. As she entered puberty, however, Ryouko
began to realize, to her initial shock and subsequent disgust, that her
memories of Ritsuko were becoming increasingly sensual in nature. This
self-disgust, arising from her guilt over feelings which she believed to
be "wrong", made her adolescent rebellion from her mother even worse than
it might have been. She left home at seventeen, finding work as a
battlesuit pilot in the security division of one of the larger
corporations of the period. Her exceptional talent won her rapid
promotions, and by 2078, she held a rank roughly equivalent to a Brigadier
General in her division.
Ryouko was very nearly killed by Nodachi-infected Boomers in the
first few days of the Nanoclysm, but was rescued by her mother and Lady
Venus. She observed the nuclear holocaust from orbit, and was profoundly
shaken by the experience. She humbly asked for permission to be placed in
suspended animation until the time of Crystal Tokyo, and her request was
granted.
She was awakenened in 2728, to fight as a battlesuit pilot in the
Unification Wars, where she served with distinction and courage. When the
corps of Palladins was founded at the conclusion of the war, she
immediately volunteered. Her service record was distinguished, but she
repeatedly refused promotion above the rank of Lieutenant, citing her
sincere belief that she was unfit for command of large units.
The restoration of Ritsuko was very troubling for her, as she
realized that her feelings for her elder half-sister had not diminished.
In order to avoid having to deal with these feelings, she sought to
alienate Ritsuko from her as much as possible. This was facilitated by
Ritsuko's friendship with Sheila Tenkai, whose lesbian orientation was
well-known. Ryouko acted in a generally vicious and intolerant manner
towards Sheila from their first meeting, in hopes of convincing Ritsuko
(and unconsciously, herself) that she was not at all homosexually
inclined. She actually went so far as to use Royal Space Marines
equipment to carry out her "grudge", and could have been arrested and
court martialed several times, had not Ritsuko acted to cover for her.
Ryouko did not realize that this was happening however. Instead, she
became increasingly convinced that the role that she was playing -- that
of a bigot against homosexuals -- was the reality.
In 2937, her father and mother were reunited, and she met Ryouga
Hibiki for the first time. The birth of her younger sister, Hiroe, the
subsequent year, gave Ryouko a real family for the first time ever, and
she began to soften, considerably. While she was still hostile towards
Sheila, the incidents of violence between the two of them dropped off
considerably. Unfortunately, Hiroe's own bisexual inclinations, which
emerged in her adolescence, caused Ryouko to revert. However, the love
(as opposed to attraction) that she felt for Hiroe prevented her from
displaying her false hostility to her, and so she blamed Sheila for
"perverting" Hiroe.
During the Black Moon Crisis, Ryouko volunteered for a mission to
Nemesis, during which she was thrown back in time to the mid-nineteen
nineties. <spoilers deleted> As a result, Ritsuko learned of both
Ryouko's feelings and of her actions in the past. Shocked by the former,
she was also outraged by the latter, and angrily rejected her half-sister,
further destabilizing Ryouko's already precarious psychological condition.
Ryouko suffered a complete nervous breakdown, and was given a medical
discharge from the marines. Since then, she has had little contact with
her sisters, her parents, or Sheila, settling down in an isolated area of
the Phillipines, alone.
Height: 181 cm.
Weight: 85 kg.
Eyes: Gray.
Hair: Light blue.
Known superhuman powers:
Ryouko's strength and reflexes are greater than a normal human, on
par with any of the Sailor Senshi in their youth. She can lift(press) 400
kg, and her reaction time is roughly three times that of an Olympic
athlete. In addition, she ages extremely slowly, perhaps at a rate of one
month per decade.
It is generally believed that the intellectual capabilities of
Lady Mercury and her three daughters are superhuman in nature, but the
difficulty in objectively measuring such capabilities is well known. What
is known is that Ryouko possesses no favorable mutations of the brain
which would tend to grant increased ability in this area.
Other abilities:
Ryouko possesses genius level intelligence, and an eidetic memory.
She holds advanced degrees in mechatronic engineering, as well as
extensive practical experience in the field (which her sister Ritsuko
lacks). She is fully conversant with all technologies in current use by
the Crystal Realm's military, in particular with gravitics. (At the time
of the Black Moon Crisis, she was preparing to defend a Doctoral thesis
on the subject. As of this guide's publication, she has not done so.)
Ryouko is also an extremely experienced battlesuit pilot, with
over a million hours of real and simulated training under virtually all
conditions. She has a very high synchronization rate of 64+/-8% percent,
enabling her to utilize thought control systems to their full potency.
She has gone through advanced combat training in the Royal Space Marine,
and is a deadly combatant even without powered armor. Since her
discharge, it is believed that she has fallen behind in training. What
effect this has had on her synchro rate is as yet unknown.
Weapons:
Ryouko's favored battlesuits during the thirtieth century were the
various Akagiyama Commando suits, light combat suits designed for maximum
maneuverability with high amounts of firepower and defensive systems. She
was, however, fully trained to use every battlesuit in current or
historical use by the Planetary Defense Forces, Royal Space Marines, or
Royal Space Force. Since her discharge, she no longer has access to these
suits, but it is believed that she could very easily construct one given
access to raw materials.
