Actually, when you consider that the Magic Knights wound up as mecha
pilots too, there's a surprising amount of fit.
(*I* didn't know about the mecha for a *long*, long time after I first
heard of MKR . . . :)

Hmmmm. Rei and Asuka are probably fairly good matches, but I don't know
about Shinji for Hikaru.
