There is one Anime series that fits Bab5 far too well...



Ataru Moroboshi: Commander of Bab5 and hero of the Battle of the Line,

which he survived when the Oni mysteriously surrendered just before

conquering the Earth.



Shutaro Mendo: Lt Commander.  His family connections kept him out of the

last war and so now he disgruntledly serves under Ataru.



Megane: Chief of Security.



Sakura: Chief Medical Officer.



Lum: Oni ambassador.



Jariten: Her cousin and faithful sidekick.
