Actually Ranma-neko is more of his subconcious manifest in cat form. Who
Ranma trust innately is who Ranma can feel comfortable with and the author
showed how uncomfortable Ranma felt with his mother, his distrust for Shampoo
in general, and distrust as well as a hint of betrayal of Ukyou in the frist
part.
