It was one of those lazy afternoons with nothing to do. Which, in Jussi's
case meant that he finally had time to try to sort out some of the backlog
from FFML. It also meant that he had to spend quite some time in the
same room with Lina Inverse, but since the short tempered sorceress had
been hanging around his apartment for several months now, he had
learned how to control his tongue.

Thus there hadn't been any major explosions in the last month.

So Jussi was sitting there on his (very squaky) computer chair, waiting for
his trusted PC to boot. Lina was laying on Jussi's bed, reading through
the  fifth volume of Elfquest.

For a minute the only sounds in the room were the quiet clicking of the
keyboard and an occasional snicker from Lina. Then Jussi spotted
something interesting.

"Hey, Lina. Come take a look, this might interest you." Jussi said, turning
to  look at his (half-unwanted) houseguest. Even if Jussi had learned to
control his tongue, he still wasn't good at thinking about the possible
consequences of his actions.

Lazily, Lina came to take a look. This is what was shown on the computer
screen:

<Lavender mists billow into the theater. Lurkadis, lights glinting off his
stone skin, strides into the room, followed by Hikaru, who for some
strange reason is now wearing a sorceress' costume.>

Lurkadis: Well, well...it seems God-boy has sent the revision of Chapter
7 of Oh! My Brother out. <evil grin>

Hikaru Inverse: This should be fun...

"Hikaru... Inverse...?" Lina said quietly, her left eyebrow twitching slightly.

Jussi suddenly realised that maybe it hadn't been such a bright idea to
show this to Lina.

"That...That... DAMN SHOJO MANGA CHARACTER IS IMITATING
ME?!?!" Lina shouted, grabbing the monitor and peering closely at it, as if
she'd get better wiev of it that way.

Jussi got a giantic sweatdrop on his brow. "Ehhh... Please calm down
Lina-san..." He had to say something that might diffuse the situation.
"Maybe you could imitate her in retalitation, or something?"

Lina turned to glare at Jussi. "Me? Imitate her? A fourteen-year-old,
animal-loving, overly honest schoolgirl who has delusions of grandeur!?
Are you nuts!?"

"Uhh... She did get a cool mecha and saved Chephiro, you know..."

"Martina had a mecha too, and much good did it do to her." Lina grabbed
Jussi's collar. "I'm going to have a little talk with that girl! MODEM WING!"

I can tell you that the feeling of being sucked inside a computer is really,
really, really weird.

This is why I don't, and probably never will write a revengefic. Having Lina
hanging 
around your home is more than enough revenge for anyone. She's got a
hair-trigger 
temper, immense appetite and immense magical powers. That's a BAD combination...

Since when has Lina Inverse hanged around my home?

Ever since I started writing Half a Sorceress (which I really, really, really 
hope to continue someday) and started adding her to the spam I was writing
every 
now and then. Maybe I'll write a fic about how she showed up someday... ^_^

What's Modem Wing? 

Diem Wing is basically an air jet spell (though can be used otherwise. See
Slayers
episode 11 for details ^_^) and Ray Wing a flight spell, so Modem Wing is a 
electronical transportation spell. And, not that wasn't in Slayers, I
invented it. 

Who is Martina?

A character from Slayers NEXT. She had a mecha, but it didn't help her any.

Oh, I almost forgot: Lurker-san. I hope you took no offense, since I meant none.

And I like Hikaru. A lot. It's just that Lina might be a little biased... ^_^
