way, there just isn't any supporting evidence of it in the Manga...
that's what fics are for ^_->

I won't even GET into the 'non-canonicity' of Nihao My Concubine.  And the
Lost Love Tunnel story doesn't provide any concrete evidence.  What DOES
is the end of Vol. 38, the end of the series. Ryouga goes to Akari--she,
in fact, is in his thoughts in the final frame you see him in, Ukyou
tolerates/accepts Konatsu (not necessarily romantically, but she seems to
end her hopes of romance with Ranma), and Shampoo and Mousse seem to be
working some of their differences out.

	Still, that doesnt mean much, Ryouga's had the same thoughts of Akane
dancing in his head. Frankly, none of the other cast members were given
an ending... which, as I understand it, was the creator's intention.

that except for Ranma/Akane get married, NOTHING is obvious as to it's
outcome. Therefor, futurefics {with some exceptions, like Ranma 2096} are not
in the same category as Alternate Universe stories, since anything can
happen.

Uhh.  A futurefic by definition is either a continuation story, or an
alternate universe story, because Ranma 1/2 ends where it ends. There IS
no more, so any assumption you make about Ranma 1/2 (EVEN Ranma and Akane
getting married happily or unhappily) cannot and will not be confirmed.

	Actually, it can. Takahashi DID say that the ONLY match up that was
destined was Ranma and Akane... I can't remember the exact interview
though, but I'm postive. Akane and Ranma, Ranma and Akane, everyone else
is up for grabs.
