I'm having to respond to someone's C&C indirectly here, since the original
version of the C&C never popped into my box. Bear with me here folks.

I like Robert Morrison's other work. In fact I have never found one I
didn't like until now.

Flattery will get you more fanfics. If you don't like ReGenesis, well,
that's your prerogative. To be honest, I wouldn't blame you if you
didn't...it's a bit crazy, even for me. Nevertheless, I'm on a roll with
it. (And by the time I'm done, even the people who are praising it the most
right now might be wondering what drug I'm on...<evil grin>)

Heh. That's not rare, IMO. ;) (BTW, Robert, I'll send C&C on Half Impact 
soon, and I think I discovered something you'll be interested in.)

More flattery...I think I'm getting a complex ^_^. Great! I'll be looking

This is actually *because* you're unfamiliar with EVA. IMHO, the main 
character is handled beautifully... "it" is so IC with the original 
"being" that it's scary... Were you more familiar with EVA, you would 
see just *how* the real Rei Ayanami behaves and acts, especially the 
third Rei (which was the "template" for the new Nyannichuan.)

Indeed. In fact, actually, I've decided that Rei III isn't really the one
in the spring...I'm calling this one "Rei IV", since she was reborn *out*
of a decaying Angel, and reborn again by Ranma falling into Nyanniichuan.
This would also justify her behaviour towards Genma, and upcoming....nah,
no spoilers here.

Also, since I know what the End of Evangelion is about and how the 
series is supposed to end, I find it very intriguing to follow the plot 
of this fusion/continuation. Rei (and, in this case, Rui) is a very... 
odd character, very mysterious in her own right, with a startling 
(sometimes even frightening) past, and isn't very easy to handle in 
writing. Heck, considering *how* EVA ended, I'd be surprised if the 
Ranmaverse cast doesn't end up growing spiritually --not in the usual 
way, but in the way mankind did in EoE.

Heh...you don't *want* to know what I have in store for this fic. To put it
mildly, I'm trying to get as Anno as possible in this thing <evil grin>. 

As it is, though, Rui is still developing his/her soul. True, he/she 
might seem cold and distant now, but that *is* intended. Wait a little 
bit more and you'll see how... different this new character is from the 
rest of the normal cast.

Most definitely. Also, keep in mind that Rui/Rei is *still* part Angel.
That's going to play a huge part in what's to come.
