Comment away. If anyone is interested, no I am not going through any
sort of life crisis right now. I just felt like writing something
darker than usual. I would appreciate any and all comments. Thank you.

Heh, isn't that always the way? You tear a senshi's heart out, or wipe
out the entire Ranma cast, starting with Kasumi, and suddenly everybody
wonders if somethings wrong. Actually, neighter hurt nor pain served as
the mood was or underlining theme in this fic... it seemed more a look
into numbness. A time when the outside world had just torn so much of
your very soul away, your body shuts down it's receptors to keep from
dying from the shock. In that arena, and in the way the prose was
written, I liked this story alot.

What I didn't like was the characterization of Washu. The giving up
part was what first made me wince. Washu? Allowing a problem to beat
her? Maybe. Washu ADMITING defeat before the battle was over? I think
not. Still, there are other considerations on that one, mainly her
feelings overiding her strength of will, plus, by reading the fic we
really don't have ANY idea just how hard she tried. But given her
abilities and her tenacity, I can't see that the others wouldn't have
know what was going on. Especially Tsunami. Still, this is all a matter
of POV and preformed opinions on who and what Washu is. <shrugs>

What REALLY gets me though, is her abandonment. Not of Tenchi <I can
see why she doesn't want to see him die> but of her family. Leaving
Ryoko... again? Leaving Sasami... at all? It just doesn't sit very well
with me. Washu has FAR too much of a materinal instinct to be that self
intrested. Ryoko wouldn't understand why Washu was still there <having
never known what her mother was really like> and Sasami wouldn't care...
they do need her though, one way or another, they need her. I can see
her leaving to set things straight in her head, see her leaving to give
herself some time to rage, I just can't see her leaving forever, not
when she was needed.

Still, it's a great fic and I DO want to see the rest.

This rant and rave C&C brought to you by the good people of FFIRC.
Where the lemons are strong, the fics are bueatiful and the Spam is...
above average.
