I've known fanfic writers who could write better than
those Doom novelists!

To be fair to him, DOOM really wasn't suited to his style.  He was never a
-great- author, but I have seen him do better than the one DOOM novel I
browsed. :) 

Heh, Doom was NEVER meant to be a plot-intensive
concept. The title alone gives it justification. DOOM.
Doom thrives on one concept: kill, kill, kill, kill, KILL!!!!
While death is often a part of a good fanfic, there's
really nothing else to it... <heh>

Anyway, that Doom novel was HORRIBLE. I really
felt like sticking a rusty screw driver into the gut
of the guys who wrote it. Of course, I didn't even
bother with the rest of the series.

Maybe you can direct me to some of this guy's
other works.
