another attempt at another sazan eyes fic.
Its a real shame that such a fantastic series as Sazan Eyes has
so few fans :( I shall not rest until Sazan Eyes gets its own
directory on raac!! It'll take a long time tho ^_^

"Pai, when your human, what makes thou think you will be...
different?" I asked.
"Well... It just will" she giggled. I watched her spin around in
the sunlight with her arms raised and a cheeky grin on her face.
"No, I mean, why do you want to be human?" I emphasised on the why.
"Because."
"Because why?" This was not getting me anywhere. Sometimes I
hated her very childlike personality.
"Just because."
"Because! Because! -" I heard her say my name softly. "Yakumo".
"Because is not good enough." I finished yelling over the top of
her.
"Well... I just do. I- I want to have friends like Yakumo.
Dachinko's too! To be like a normal girl and go to school and..
and I'll be human." She'd said it in a hurried rush.
"You want something but you don't know why you want it... Is
it what you really want? How can you be sure if you don't know
why?"
"Well. I- I don't know. I just don't know why." She let out
a sigh. Her chin resting on her crossed forearms watching the
sea. There was a quietness between us for a few minutes. Inching
a bit closer I put my hand on her shoulder.
Her soft voice said, "Its always been my dream, ever since I
was a little girl. I want to be a normal human girl. Its my
wish Yakumo. I wish to be human. You gave me your promise
Yakumo, please... don't ever leave me."
She was sobbing into my chest now as I held her. Looking up I
noticed a schoolgirl of about 14 years old looking back at us
with a sad smile. Her hair was unusual, a bun held by a thin red
ribbon on the left of her head with a ponytail hanging from it. A
mauve triangle on her forehead pulsed brighter as she stepped
right up.
"Who-?" I stumbled out.
In a quit voice she replied "Experience. Live. Understand." and
then touched Pai who vanished from my arms.
"PAI! Wha-" she leant forward and touched me as well.

"Ayanokouji-san... WAKE UP AND PAY ATTENTION!!!" Haruna-Sensei
yelled for the umpteenth time.
"Wah!" Usagi's head instinctively snapped upright "I wasn't slee-"
her teeth making an audible clicking noise of snapping shut.
"Usagi!! Pai!! Go stand out in the hall and hold buckets."
"Wow." Usagi was leaning backward against the wall with a
large grin plastered on her face. the buckets unattended.
"Holding buckets with me, and its your first day too. I'm
Tsukino Usagi, but you can call me Usagi."
A goofey grin spread on Pai's face. "I'm Pai!"
"Where lucky its after lunch now, coz Haruna-Sensei might have
made us miss lunch. And I CAN'T miss lunch, thats bad, so
holding buckets is ok." Usagi's grin seemed to get a little
bigger.
"Pai likes lunch alot too." she replied. The two of them
grinning like manics.

"Hi Usagi!" Pai greeted her new friend as if she hadn't seen
her in a while, rather than the couple of hours it actually had
been since school. "Pai thought your other dachinko's were gonna
come too. What happened?"
"Well... Lets see now," Usagi started to tick off her
fingers, "Naru is helping her mum in the shop, Ami is off
studying as usual. Um, I think Minako has volleyball practice
today, Mako-chan said she had something to do and Rei has some
shrine duties, So that leaves just us two. All the more
icecream for me!" she let out a short giggle. "Lets go."
The two girls were taking a shortcut through the school grounds
when an shrill scream stopped them up short. That single scream
was quickly followed by a couple of other screams.
"Gah! Not now." Usagi whined. "Right when I'm on the way to
get icecream too."
"What was that? Shouldn't we go look?" Pai asked her.
Usagi uhmed and ahed for a few seconds before deciding to
postpone her icecream snack.
"Yeah. Alright lets go." Usagi started off across the asphalt
to investigate.
Once rounding the nearest buildings corner they came across the
bodies of two schoolgirls, both appeared to be unconscious.
"What are we gonna do?" Pai asked, looking worriedly at the
bodies. The sound of her voice hinted at her anxiousness and her
fear pushed Usagi into action.
"You wait here, I'll go uh- find a teacher. yeah. hehe."
Pai stood looking at Usagi's back as she ran off at high speed.
Another screaming voice got the better of her, the mix of fear
and curiosity making her peek hesitantly around the corner of the
building. She saw it. *it*. something. It was standing over the
body of a uniformed school girl, a sphere of grayness, a light
seemed to hang from its hand just above the girls head. It stood
and turned.
Pai's face flushed white with grief and fear. Whatever it was
was looking directly at her, very very intensely. She spun around
sharply, backing against the wall with her heart going ten to the
dozen, she edged along against the wall wimpering slightly,
watching its shadow grow until it breached the edge. It stood
before her, a good 6 feet in height towering over her as she
tried to unconsciously wedge herself back further into the crook
of the buildings right angled join.
The monster held its clawed hand out before Pai. A grey sphere
grew from its palm until it was the size of an apple and
dissipated completely. "What?!? That has not happened in a
long ti-" *flash* A black crystal materialised within its hand
and quickly graduated from an inkish blackness to rose purple in
colour. "Geheheheh" Its rough chuckling belied its intent. "So
Sanjiyan, at last I have found you. Now I shall dine on your
tasty immortal flesh and feast opon the souls you yourself have
feasted on, then I shall be the immortal one."

"Mooooon Prism Power, Make Up!" Usagi felt a slight breeze of
warm air as her clothing re-arranged itself around her body,
manifesting her Sailor Moon costume. Wasting no time, she ran
back to where hew new friend should have been safely waiting.
Sailor Moon stood transfixed as Pai eyeballed the monster with
a slightly haughty if somewhat malicious grin. Creeping closer
she noticed it was ugly, as in ugly even for a monster. She
could see her Pai cowering in the corner, one arm thrown up
guarding her face on which tears glistened.
Sailor Moon got ready to make her anouncitory anti-monster speech
when she heard Pai yell something like "Fei-Oh!".
Bright stinging light flared up from between Pai and the monster.
Sailor Moon gritted her shut eyes tightly until it had passed.
Looking up she saw the ground beneath Pais' feet and the immediate
area bubbled and popped until a very large yellow dome shaped
object started to rise under her.

the title of the fic, i thought it fit well for both
Pai/Sanjiyan and the dual life senshi....
so where's my BGC/ALIENS/PREDATOR #2+?, well my mate died of a
heroin overdose a while ago. life seems to have taken on
something different now.
i guess this fic stems from my mate getting A+'s in university
physics and chemistry but never being happy with what he could do
and who he was. we never knew until it was too late. rip wherever
you are now mate. Pai was never happy with being Sanjiyan and
only wanted to be something else, and Usagi + Minako didn't want
to be senshi either.. mmm since when do we ever get choices in
life?
mmm part 2 + 3 have already been plotted and marginalised.
the start of part 1 holds similarities to bits in the first
series of anime.
Since Sailor Moon is so well known and Sazan Eyes (SE) isn't (It
deserves MORE recognition), here is some information about
Ayanokouji Pai, or more correctly Houasyou.
Ok, Benares (a SE bad guy) used a beast magic called
Choang-Rin-Rin on Pai, it suppresed Pai's personality and memory
and overlayed it with that of the beast used in performing
Choang-Rin-Rin, a snake, Houasyou. So Ayanokouji Pai has Pai's
body but Houasyou's memory. Later on, when Yakumo is able to
break Chaong-Rin-Rin Pai's Sanjiyan takes pity and makes Houasyou
a 'real' girl (sorta kinda :)
in this fic, Ayanokouji Pai is just Pai, not Houasyou, but the
goddess of "kawaii-monsters-who-wanna-be-humans" Miyu-sama,
suppressed Pais' Sanjiyan half to make her a 'normal girl'.
you follow? uh, heh, I don't think I do either.

Houasyou (Enchanted Snake, $B2=<X(B)
Ayanokouji Pai $B0=>.O)$Q$$(B
Houasyou is the beast used by Benares to perform Choang-Rin-Rin
on Pai. In so doing, Houasyou apparently lost her memory, and was
thus unable to carry out Benares' will. When Choang-Rin-Rin was
expelled from Pai, the Sanjiyan was able to reincarnate Houasyou
as Pai Ayanokouji, the girl who (with Houasyou's memory, but
Pai's body) lived a life of her own in the years that Yakumo was
looking for her.
Much later, Pai and Yakumo attempt to find Houasyou, because she
may have information deep in her memory which will help them
find/defeat Benares. Eventually, she regains most of her memory,
and control over her human/snake metamorphosis, but refuses to
reveal Benares' location until Yakumo becomes powerful enough to
fight him.
Yakumo finds her attractive, but doesn't love her; though she
often forces her affections on Yakumo, arousing the Sanjiyan's
ire and envy. ^_^
