I am TOTALLY surprised at the number of comments and notes I've gotten in
response to this idea. Yes, it was bopping around my head for a couple days
before I sat down and wrote it out.

The next part? Well.... I will probably make this a one part fic covering
the college entrance exam week (SUN-SAT). When will I do this? Right after
I finish some of THCOL. (Yes Blackbird I am still working on that side
story.) Two side stories and chapter 5. THEN I'll finish "Arranged
Marriages" "Directions" and a couple other ideas.

btw. would explain this omai-thingy, please?

If anyone would like to (or can) correct me on this, _please_ do so!

The (O)miai is a marriage interview between two families. It is somewhat
similar to a job interview. In some cases there is an "intermediary" who
arranges the meetings and coordinates the exchange of bride/groom
information. Each prospective bride/groom has a "resume" prepared and is
given to the other family. Each family usually does a "back ground check"
on the prospective bride/groom.
The families sometimes meet at a hotel (neutral ground) for the first
meeting. This is where the two marriage prospects are first introduced to
each other. If they are of the same social class, attitude/respectfulness,
like each other, etc. Then a second meeting is arranged. If not, the whole
thing is called off and the search begins anew.

There are some in Japan that feel that marriages resulting from a(n)
(o)miai last longer that 'love' marriages. I have not seen any statistics
to support this, just what has been told to me.

I hope this helps out.
