And Mr. Lawson, getting killfiled by me is not a compliment. Or an

Neither is it anything to lose sleep over.

Redneck, we all know you don't like certain genres. That is
your right. But what I don't understand is why you say so as
if you expect anyone ought to care.

Let's see now: Richard Lawson has several hundred readers who
like his work, read what he puts out, and vote for him in the
various awards. He's really going to be concerned over one
person deciding to killfile him. Uh huh, makes sense to me.

Thanks for the support, Gary. I told Sean and Zen, who brought it to my
attention, that I really *should* know better than to respond to
Redneck. Your points above are spot-on.

Still, it touched on an important point that I thought needed to be
clarified. Remember that guy a few months back who lambasted everyone
for writing "gay" fanfics? If you don't try and show why such stands
are pure nonsense, you risk having some people actually believe that
there should be such constraints on fanfic writing. And of course there
shouldn't be any constraints whatsoever; people should always write what
they want to write *and* have their writing considered worthy and valid.

Well, except for the one about the haggis. ^_^ jk

I'm a firm believer in the credo, "I may not agree with what you say,
but I will defend to the death your right to say it." I may not agree
with the premise of your story or its characterizations, but I'll hurry
to defend your right to write whatever the heck you feel like writing.

Thanks again, Gary.
