I can only respond to my own reasons for posting a spamfic.  When I had the
idea, I had no real desire to finish the scene in my mind, and just thought
that it would prove a nice laugh to others on the FFML who were familiar with
both City Hunter and Ranma 1/2.  And I had never considered it as more than a
cheap joke.  

Granted since then, I have been considering hwo to flesh it out to a full
story.. but another purpose for the "Spamfic" is to let others see an idea
that the author hasn't the time or the inclination to finish, while giving a
bit more of a 'feel' than a simple synopsis might be able to do.
