I have made a shocking discovery... the 'ma' in 'Ranma' comes from
uma, or the kanji for horse. Actually, that's not so interesting. What's
interesting is that the kanji for horse is what makes up the first part of
baka. Boy, does this ever explain a lot. Does anyone know what Kanji make's
up Genma? (Horse again, it looks like.) What about 'Saotome?' Is there
anyone whose name contains the word deer?
FYI, baka is made with the kanji for horse and deer. (How they get
baka from 'uma' and 'shika' is beyond me.) So, baka is nothing more than a
confused horse. Er, deer. Hmmm... Maybe a deer wondered onto some training
grounds and slipped, falling into a spring where a horse drowned four
thousand years ago. Hmmm... Maybe I should keep my lame idea's to myself.
Hmmm...
I dunno why I posted this. (God, I hope this doesn't bring on a
disscussion.) It was one of those things where you feel like you just gotta
post something, or your head is going to expload. Actually, I just thought
this was something interesting. Someone may even get an idea from this.
(Yea right...) I hope I havn't displeased the FFML gods too much.
