I think that's just silly. It's not even the same kind of element.
I have to agree, there isn't any reason why they 'should' coincide.
for a start there are only 'five' elements at most of the kind you
want for nine planets and various stars.
If you are really serious about doing this You would have to stick to
the existing elemental chart and think up a pseudo scientific/
alchemical correspondence between say 'noble gasses' or metals and
the planets....don't go for heavy unnatural isotopes they havent got
much of a 'magical' feel to them.
For example mars is iron for the rust colour and iron is the basis of
most weapons(Mars is the god of war). Mercury is self evident. The
moon is silver traditionally.....but really its going to be pretty
contrived and unconvincing any which way you look at it.
What are we going to do today Brain?....NARF
Why the same thing we do everyday, run around and around and around
on our exercise wheel...
