Umm... there's a difference between three 'words' that all come from the
same word.

"Hentai" is sick and twisted and perverted.
It also means 'changed'.

"H" means something not so perverted, but has stuff like shower scenes,
etc.

"Ecchi" is more gentle than 'H', and it can be considered as a compliment
at times.

Sorry about being one reply back, and a newbie to boot, but...

I thought that "Hentai" meant merely "strange" or "odd", and could be used
to mean "sexually perverted".  Also, "ecchi" is just the way Japanese say
"H" (I've also seen echi and etchi), and "ecchi"/"H" is _only_ used to
refer to sexual situations (i.e. Peeping Toms are ecchi, a blue dog is hentai)
