<< I've been trying to think of another way to write Ryouga and
Akari, my two favorite people. I did Lucky, which had them
finally get together. I didn't want to do a wedding (let's
face it, one wedding for me is enough, and "Wedding" was it).
I didn't want to get further into the future. Then I thought
of the standard alt univ thing.
Check this: We meet a much more somber Akari, arriving in
Nerima. Katsunishiki defeats Ryouga, but she doesn't seem
as hyped about it; in fact, she's upset. Ryouga is intrigued,
and tries to learn more. This follows a reworking of Vol. 30,
until *Akari* is splashed with cold water. Turns out she
was sent by good old Grandpa to train Katsunishiki at Jusenkyo,
and fell in the piglet spring.
This raises a lot of issues. She doesn't want to get married
before she's cured, as she's sure she would horrify a husband.
In addition, there's a sense of shame, because she's pretty
OK with her pig form. Let's face it, she loves pigs, so it
wouldn't disturb her as much. However, she *is* disturbed by
the fact that she's so at ease with it, and wonders if she's
becoming less of a woman. She's also much closer to
Katsunishiki.
Now, when she finds out Ryouga becomes a pig also, she's
really confused. She's starting to fall for him, but has all
these issues to deal with, and his curse is a painful reminder
of hers. So she runs off. Ryouga is upset, because he's
actually falling in love with her (since she's not as peppy
about it, he can get over Akane faster here). He tries to
find her. This works as well as you might think...
That's what I've got so far. Obviously, it ends with them
getting together, I am a sappy romantic.
