Ok, I made mention of this a few months ago, but now I have the means to send
it to people. Basically, what I've been doing is writing a text adventure game
(in the Infocom style) based on the story "Books". The adventure currently
features three well-known books: Hitchhiker's Guide, Discworld, and Ranma 1/2.
I'm looking for people who will be able to suggest puzzles, help with plot
points, find obscure bugs, and basically test the world I have attempted to
create.
The adventure game executable is PC only at the moment. If you don't have a
PC, but still want to help, I can distribute the game code (compiled but not
into an executable), which can then be run by any Inform compiler. Since
Inform (the language I programmed it in) runs on almost any computer, this
should be possible, but it would mean downloading the relevant files (but I
can't remember where they are...)
Anyway, if you're interested, get in touch. Thanks. Ciao,
Terence Fergusson
