The assertion that the Nannichuan at Jyusenkyou would cure any of the Ranma
characters is an assumption made by the characters, and is never
established either way. Which is possibly for the best.
Takahashi-sensei did say in an interview that Nannichuan would cure
Ranma of his curse. That makes it canon, IMHO.
On the other hand, she might be lying...or just simply change her mind
later. I don't consider anything not actually in the manga itself (and that
includes the author's comments) as non-cannon and/or speculation. Once it's
in the manga, it's too late to change it.
