in the english translation, and the adjective "young" doesn't come
into it at all.  I am not 100% sure whether the "Nyan" part means
woman or girl, but judging from the kanji used for it, I would say
not.  The kanji used in the Manga just means female/woman.

Sorry, Sebastian.  The guide does say "wakai musume" *twice* in his 
explanation of the curse on tankoubon p. 47.  And the character for 
"nyan" does, in fact, mean girl or young woman, as well as daughter, 
in Japanese.  In Chinese, its meaning seems to be less age-specific, 
but it still does have the potential meaning of young girl.  Point to 
Richard.
