Did you post that here? I haven't seen it.

"Weapons of War"...that was a Nuku Nuku 'fic posted to FFML
on Wed, 13 Nov 1996 09:06:21 -0600. It's still on my to-read list.

In response to the Frankenstein comment...I don't mind if
you take the same ideas and use them over and over as long as
it's not monotonous. Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations: this
is what makes reading stories worthwhile. That's why fanfics and
crossovers are cool :)

The same thing happens with Arthurian legends. The same story has been
told over and over again for hundreds of years. What's left to say
about it?

I like seeing it in its various incarnations and some of them can
be quite creative. I don't know much of the legends as told by Mallory
or White though so "Tokyo Senshi" still had many new elements for me.
(Actually, I am still trying to figure out some things; I guess I'll have to
read up on the Arthurian legend and reread the 'fic. What a chore ^_^)

Yes, but not everyone has read the story 10000 times :) *YOU* know how
it all ends, but not everyone does.

That's right. Actually, I don't know much about the stuff in the middle
either. I really have to track down a copy of Le Morte D'Arthur or read
my copy of T.H. White's book...and maybe Mark Twain's "A Connecticut
Yankee in King Arthur's Court"

And knowing the end of a story never spoiled the story for me. Most
of the fun comes in the middle part.

I think John is running into the same phenomenon with "Tokyo Senshi".

I dunno...90% of my stories get minimal feedback even from my Mailing
list who volunteered to read and C & C my stories...It's just when I put
a MASSIVE amount of effort into it that it gets really aggravating :)

Heh. You got two raves before you even released it to FFML.
You're getting a bit of discussion on it now. And I could tell you put
a massive effort into "Tokyo Senshi" from the excellent meld of the
Sailor Moon and Arthurian elements. The story really flowed for me...
even the Norse elements--hey, doesn't Rei have two ravens in Sailor
Moon?

I think this tale could stand several more readings, and it would
be even cooler if I got all the references. (*hint*)

Oh, yeah, there was one more thing I had to say. I really liked
having Usagi cast as Lancelot. It worked extremely well for me. And
I liked the Norse elements; they seemed appropriate for some reason.
Actually, there are reasons for my feelings, but I can't coherently express
them yet. Maybe they'll be clearer when I reread the 'fic...or maybe not.

Oh, there was one last thing I had to get off my chest. Epilogue 3
reminded me of a particularly bad Arthurian movie that I wish I hadn't seen.

P-chan ran across the field and hopped into Akane's arms. She
snuggled her little pet. "I love you, P-chan, especially with a little
apple in your mouth and that special sauce Ukyou makes." They cooked
P-chan over an open fire and made special okonomiyaki out of him. And
all was good.

I recall some spam with this idea on FFML--wyrm

  Or maybe...

*GASP!* Akane's not raising P-chan to be a PET!

"Ranma! Stop picking on P-chan! If you bruise him, he won't be tender!"
