     Personally, I tend to prefer the serious stories myself, but only
slightly.  It mainly depends on the way the author tells (or writes) his
story.  IMHO, nobody can match Takahashi-sama in writing Ranma 1/2.  But that
doesn't mean that there are no good Ranma stories out there.  (My favorite
Ranma fanfiction writers include Biles, Gagne, and Lawson, but with more fans
writing, this could change.)

     My advice is to write what's inside you, critique it yourself (just
don't be hard to the point of shredding it), and then see what the audience
has to say.  I've read your latest story, but it's now Saturday morning, and
I don't have my crirics hat on.

---Actually, the reason I like serious Ranma stories is that I'm a big fan of
Urusei Yatsura.  There are enough wacky hijinks there to keep me satisfied.
