Hey folks, a few of you wanted to know where I was going with this. 
Here is a quick teaser for the next chapter, the full version should 
be sent to the list Sunday morning.

All characters are owned by Pioneer. This is just my attempt to spark
some good Tenchi fan fiction. 

Once again, This is (hopefully) the start of a long epic story known as
"Heaven and Earth". While it is impossible to address every mystery the
Tenchi OAV series have sparked, this should take care of a few. 
C&C is desperately needed. How do you want the Tenchi story to End?
What would be neat? What storylines do _you_ have?

Tenchi Muyo: Heaven and Earth, Chapter 2: The Tears of Avalon.


The Emperor’s mood was as dark as the vacuum which lurked behind him.

The court was abuzz with trivialities. One noble talked of the weather on
his fair planet, another of the sheer magnificence of the floating palace,
which surrounded them like a canopy of the finest crystal. One noble’s wife
was showing off her latest dress, and all were partaking of the vintage wine.

The Emperor Knew. They did not.

He knew that the significance of the occasion which had escaped the nobles
notice. For the first time in a millennium the Jurai Court had been convened.

Misaki and Funaho took their customary position beside the king. Behind
him, Seriyou, the well spoken, and influential regent of Aldera, the
regional capital of the northern portion of the Jurai empire, perched
himself behind the Emperor.

Seriyou’s very presence gave the Emperor pause. The Masati bloodline, of
which Seriyou was born, was beginning to challenge the Jurai’s. Once the
secret was revealed, it would only strengthen the Masati’s hold upon his
kingdom.

Of course the Emperor had seen this coming. In the fashion of all great
families he attempted to neutralize the threat by marrying off one of his
daughters.

He had sought to pacify the threat to Jurai that a rival family would
bring. He had sought to preserve his empire.

A Single earth man, and a stubborn daughter had destroyed that.

No, only the earth man himself, Tenchi, had destroyed it.

And this same Tenchi would challenge him to the thrown someday.

He must be stopped.

"Sire, would you sign this petition to convene the Jurai court? Funaho asked.

A with a long, exaggerated stroke of the pen, Azusa set forth his plan. His
sinister laugh echoed throughout the Chambers.

"Too much Sake, Misaki announced to Funaho......"
