It's easiest to just leave your fics as plain text files. Just leave
them with extensions .TXT in your Web directory. You cannot put
hypertext links or formatting commands in them this way, though. If
you do want to do them as .HTML files, replace every incidence of > by
&gt; and < by &lt;. These will display as > and < respectively.
