You don't have to make this an elseworld one... I don't see the point
of labeling as a other universe story.  All you did was make a slight
change at the beginning (an important too, mind you).  It will be nice
to see some kind of more calm and peaceful relationship developing (at
least it looks like this right now).  So... whatever you do, make sure
you finish this!
