Likewise, if a fic has an excellent plot, but none of the

Example of #2: (IMO) Back to Skuld, an AMG! fanfic with an
excellent plot that is certainly worth developing, but an
odd treatment of characters (Belldandy says F**K! For only a
minor reason!). Therefore, I'm not very hyped up about this.
You mean "Skuld" of the 3 sisters thing? With mind control? Those had
plots? Weird...they weren't supposed to ^_^.

The characterizations may not have been fanfic canon, they may not have been
what you *think* their characters are like, but they were consistent
with the anime/manga. All three centered around the three Goddesses
breaking out of what I made out to be their artificial shells of nice
personalities...Skuld because she no longer had to fear the
consequences (being given power), Belldandy because she's more peeved than
she's been before, and doesn't know how to express anger, and Urd
because she knows the consequences are temporary.

True, a little surreal, but that was the point. I *wasn't* going for an
interesting plot. I don't believe in plots. Bleh. Artificial contruct,
yuck yuck yuck.

And technically, Belldandy didn't say a bad work beginning with f. She
made Keiichi say it. ^_^
