        Good story.  Very good story in fact.  Unfortunately, I don't think
the REALLY dark quite covers the darkness of it.

        You said you needed some suggestions.  Well here's one:  Nobody
knows what happened to Akane, Kusumi and Dr. Tofu, right?  Well, suppose
that they survived somehow. . . hmm.  I mean, who knows, Dr. Tofu _could_
have had an old bomb shelter under his clinic that he re-fitted for nuclear
attack.
        As to why nobody knows where they are, suppose that they came out a
little earlier than everbody else.  If that where the case, they would have
thought everbody else was dead and tried to hike away (assuming that they
had enough supplies, this would be possible).
        If you suddenly had them return. . . well. . . who knows how
everybody else might react.  You know?
        Then, if you do that, you can always have Mousse find out about it
somehow and decide that killing Akane might be a better form of revenge then
using an old missile.

        This story kind of reminds me of _Mad Max_ & _Mad Max:  Beyond
Thunderdome_.

        If that's the case, you could always have Akane, Kasumi and Tofu
living at an oasis on the edge of the desert that was sparred from the
holocaust.  For some reason, Ranma would leave ShantyTown (probably to hunt
down Mousse for some reason or another) and stumble onto it.  
        After that, I'm kind of stumped.^_^

        Once again, it was a good story and I hope to see the revised copy soon.

P.S.  When is the second installment of your "Death of Ukyou" trilogy going
to be out?
